Impact Beach House
We are a sustainable-driven house with two hostels. ( This account is about Estoril-+/-25km from center town - Lisbon)
We are space open to the community in Lisbon where sustainability, circular economy, and partnerships with local nonprofits are at the heart of everything we do. This consciousness is integrated into the very foundation of our space operations.
We would welcome like-minded people with a special interest in sustainability issues that are proactive and open-minded.

Fui muito bem acolhido pelo staff e demais voluntários da World Packers. Agradeço, de coração, pelo carinho e companhia de Ingris, Júnior, Leonor, Luana, Judith, Gabi e Leonardo. Ensinaram muito e as trocas diárias foram muito enriquecedoras. Levarei essas pessoas nas minhas melhores lembranças.
O hostel fica numa zona maravilhosa, pertinho da praia e serviços. Além disso, lá recebem voluntários de um projeto próprio (Impactrip) e tive momentos incríveis, muito divertidos com eles. Eram pessoas que traziam sempre uma história de vida muito bonita para compartilhar conosco. Arrasem!

It was like my first time volunteering and honestly, couldn’t ask for a better place in PT!
IBH has such a warm and welcoming vibe… Reception tasks are simple and enjoyable, mostly check-ins/outs. Plus, the house is 1 min away from the beach and 5min away from the train station-really convenient! Natacha, the manager, is a lovely soul, she also makes sure that your schedule is flexible and respected so that you have plenty of time to travel around. What I loved the most is that there are many international volunteers coming who stay for long periods so you can build meaningful connections.

Gabi volunteered with us at the reception and was an absolutely outstanding addition to the team. She is a wonderful young woman with great energy, a healthy and sporty lifestyle, and a very positive attitude that truly influenced both the team and the overall atmosphere of the hostel. Gabi was extremely organized, learned everything very quickly, and consistently went beyond her required tasks. Her professionalism, friendliness, and natural hospitality made her a pleasure to work with. <3

IBH felt like a second home since the first day! The environment in the house is amazing, the food is delicious, the room is very clean and cozy! Cascáis and Estoril are absolutely gorgeous. Learned a lot of Portuguese and met friends for life! My favorite thing was having the beach just 2 mins away walking and sea view from the house! I would 100% recommend this volunteer experience! Natacha (the host) is amazing, caring, lovely and shifts are flexible so you can plan trips through Portugal or the EU. Im so grateful for being able to live this experience and I hope to come back next year <3

Staying at Impact Beach House was the BEST experience I could've asked for. What was originally 2 months lasted for 5. I can't express how grateful I am to have been part of the team, for being welcomed and cherished as I was. Natacha, the manager, is not only an amazing women, but also an amazing mother, a friend and boss hehehe. She was there for me whenever I needed both in the work itself, but in my personal life. The hostel is an opened place for you to bring ideas, develop projects, but if you are not a dedicated detailed oriented person, it might not be a good fit. BEST PLACE IN PT <3

Driving & Maintenance
* Inscrevi-me para a vaga de recepção, mas me foi oferecido esta. Majoritariamente é buscar todos os dias as refeições em uma cozinha externa (menos de 1h/dia) e drop-offs e pick-ups no aeroporto aos finais de semana; ocasionalmente dirigir para qualquer lado e fazer uns reparos na casa
Pontos negativos:
* Não me senti acolhido nem parte da equipe. Parecia mais um prestador de serviço externo (tipo Uber e frete)
* É esperado que estejamos 24/7 disponíveis para o que aparecer; as folgas eram dadas e depois retiradas
* Total falta de diálogo e comunicação
