Hi Travellers,
We are seeking some help for around our home and property.
Single or couple or two friends.
We are a family of 5 looking for help with cleaning and gardening.
Accommodation is a sweet caravan next to our house. The accomdation is cosy and clean. You would share our kitchen and the guest bathroom. Our property is a beautiful 20 acres with a gorgeous river, large vege garden and plenty of space.
We are both professionals and our kids are 13, 10 and 9.
We would ask for about 2 hours work per day for Accommodation per person. You will need a car as we are 7 mins from the closest town. 20 min to the amazing beaches of the Sunshine Coast. We have both travelled extensivley and love to provide a relaxed space for travellers to enjoy. Famliy life is very busy so having some understanding of kids would be helpful.This is not a babysitting postion though. Work is not demanding and will mostly be helping keep the place clean and working around the property doing basic tasks, unless you have a specialty skill. We are into music, playing instruments, spending time in nature going to the beach. We have Surfboards we can lend you. A private car is almost essential if you want to be able to get around as there is no public transport, although I go to the coast for work so you could get a lift in and back on some weekdays.

The Vaney’s seem like very kind & understanding people but unfortunately the stay was not what I expected. I ended up leaving the second day due to a strange interaction I had with a man knocking on my caravan door at midnight (which the family did apologize for) & the cigarette smell around the property. Of course it is their home & they can smoke wherever they’d like, but it would’ve been nice to know in advance. From my limited time there, the work mostly involved cleaning the house.
Overall it just wasn’t the experience for me but might be perfect for someone else!

Hi Avery,
I did explain to you after you left and had told me why you felt uncomfortable that that should NOT have happened and that that person was someone we were helping out and is no longer staying with us. I am not sure what you were expecting to know in advance. Best of luck in your travels. I just wanted to make clear to other travellers, of which we have had many, that this was an isolated incident that will not be repeated.

I had a great time, had beautiful natural environment around to explore. There is a lot to do around the house, the tasks are flexible and varied. All the family was very kind and interesting people. Had a lovely time and they gave me a safe place to stay and reconnect with myself. Thank you! Hope you are all doing great ☺️

Kate and jack are such welcoming and supportive people, I felt very comfortable here. They were kind enough to give me rides to places and sometimes picked me up. I did a lot of deep cleaning, but everyday the kitchen needs to be cleaned and main room tidied up. Their children are just the best! Such funny, energetic kids that were such a blast to be around. I adore this family, and hope to come back in the future.❤️

I had a really nice week with the family. The work is easy and they are very easy going! The caravan was nice as well, but a bit cold in the night, as it had no heating. The area around their house is beautiful with creeks and nature surrounding it. It was a great break from traveling!

I had such an amazing time staying with Jack's family out in nature. I did things like chopping wood and cleaning the house — it was nice being part of their daily life. The air was so fresh, and the stars at night were absolutely stunning. Every day was fun hanging out with Jack's children. They're so lively and adorable, always full of energy and smiles. I feel really lucky to have spent time with them in such a beautiful place.
