Casa Del Ix

If you’re looking for a meaningful experience close to nature, this is a perfect place to learn permaculture, live off-grid, and slow down.

You’ll stay in a peaceful spot above Lake Atitlán, surrounded by mountains, gardens, and good energy. Volunteering here means helping with real hands-on projects while also having time to explore, reflect, and connect.

Whether you’re experienced or just curious, there’s space for you to contribute, learn, and enjoy.

I’m Philip, originally from Australia, and I’ve been living around the lake for a few years now. This project is something I’ve been building with heart, one day at a time. Volunteers here are treated like guests and friends — with trust, respect, and space to be themselves. I’ll guide you through the tasks, but I also believe in flow and self-direction, so you’ll have freedom to contribute in a way that feels good for you. The vibe is simple, grounded, and welcoming 🌿

I had a very good time in this experience:) I was very free to do what I felt to do and the tasks were pretty easy, I had a lot of time for myseld but I also joined some activities like going to the lake. I really loved the cat:)

Philip is a easy going and funny guy with his beautiful music and relaxing space that he holds. I would really reccomend this experience if you are willing to live off grid in the mountain to connect to yourself and do around 4 hours of work during the week. Also there are many communities around and events and sessions organized for your spiritual experience you will be able to make friends and enjoy the inner journey. Just make sure you bring your working clothes or discuss with Philip before :)
