I had an amazing time on the farm! I learned so much, from cheese making to the rhythm of a working dairy farm. Tasks were clear and satisfying, and it felt good to contribute to such a meaningful community. It's a great opportunity to learn new skills and live in a beautiful part of The Netherlands! Highly recommend!

Working and living on the farm was a wonderful experience. The farm is nearly entirely run by local volunteers and it is impressive to see and be a part of such a unique organization. Our stay was very comfortable and we would not hesitate to recommend this opportunity to anyone who is interested.

The experience at Burgerboerderij de Patrijs was amazing! We spent two months sharing time with them and we loved it. We were very enthusiastic to learn the dairy farm work and we gained even more knowledge since they also have a dairy products business. We were lucky to also share the experience with two other volunteers from France, which made it very friendly and helped us a lot in learning. The hosts always make sure you are well and that there is a good working environment. We recommend this experience 100%, where they will allow you to learn and help you throughout the process.

I had an amazing experience volunteering at de Patrijs. There are opportunities to learn so much about sustainable farming practices, caring for cows, cheese and dairy production. As well as getting to know many friendly locals who also help with all aspects of de Patrijs. I spent most of my time working with Luuk the dairy farmer, he’s fun to work with and great at teaching new skills. I will miss cycling through the beautiful countryside here and all the great internationally inspired food you can have as well, especially the vlaflips for dessert 😃🇳🇱🐄🚜🧀 Do yourself a favour and give it a go!

La experiencia fue enriquecedora, divertida y llena de personas maravillosas, el trabajo es agradable aunque un poco repetitivo, pero te brindan la opción de realizar diferentes tareas incluso saliendo de la granja, para mi es la primera vez pero seguramente no será la última, es muy importante el manejar un inglés bueno para las personas que se decidan por esta oportunidad. Gracias a Joanna y johannnes por permitirme pasar 2 meses en su maravilloso proyecto 🐄🐄🥛🥛🧀🧀🍻🥳🥳
