I would tell my friend that the Worldpackers course is a great introduction to how volunteering works and how to make the most out of the experience. It explains how to choose reliable hosts that match your interests and skills, how to read reviews and descriptions carefully, and how to communicate clearly before confirming a trip. The course also teaches about cultural exchange, respecting local rules, and being proactive and responsible as a volunteer. I found it very useful to understand what to expect and how to prepare myself to have a positive and safe experience.
