It was a great experience! i loved the staff! they are all very nice and always manage to find a way to make you feel comfortable. the place is very nice and close to all bus stops. I can only recommend it !!

I absolutely recommend this experience! The tasks are cleaning in general and the established daily time is fulfilled, they are always willing to explain very well what you're supposed to do. The ambient of work is very good, respectful and friendly. The location is a little bit far from central London but there's transport facilities near by the hostel like a bus stop literally in front. The room where I stayed was very good illuminated and ventilated. In general I had a nice experience in the hostel. Thank you for everything!

My experience at the hostel was amazing! The team is very friendly and helped me with everything. The room is very comfortable! It's very easy to arrive from there to the city center. I would recommend very much this host!

It was my first experience with Worldpackers and I loved it. The work is not too hard and the staff is very nice and understanding! The working hours were totally respected. Aside from that it can feel challenging on some days depending on the rooms you'll have to clean but it's okay, I can only recommend 😊

My experience at the hostel was very good, the place is very organized and clean, everybody was very friendly and kind to me since I arrived there, I would definitely go back there in the future. And I would like to thank Aliou and Cristine for all support!

La experiencia en general fue positiva y lo recomiendo, lo mejor de todo fue conocer a las demás personas de voluntariado que la gran mayoría son super amables y simpáticos. Hice buenas amistades y pude practicar mi inglés. Por otra parte habían días que el trabajo se hacía duro o monótono y sin duda alguna, algo para mejorar es la estadía en las habitaciones, personalmente mi cama era muy incomoda y estaba para cambiar, fue duro dormir con dos personas más porque tenían otros horarios y llegaban super tarde y te despertaban a media noche. Pero en general es una experiencia que hay que vivir

My experience was good, the volunteer's place is very well located, the staff are good people, but the work, especially on weekends, can be heavy, depending on who is at the reception, as there are almost no volunteers on weekends week so who is in case I feel overwhelmed, besides, the person who was at the reception that day was super perfectionist, so that delayed everything even more! However, in general terms it's a good volunteer, Barry is super nice, understanding and flexible people!

I had a great experience at the hostel. The work was reasonable and exactly what I had agreed to before arriving. I had plenty of time to explore London during my stay and the other staff members were really helpful with advice. I recommend this for travelers who are looking for a more quite/chill environment and who want to explore the city.

✅nice working hrs since you get the afternoon for yourself. Be aware that you will work a lot, and probably your body will ache after your shifts. ❌Kitchen not equipped at all. I wasn't staying for long so obviously didn't want to buy things like plates, glasses.. ❌They made me change room twice in a week and the second without previously notify me and on my day off. I did my part of working and cleaning during my assigned hours, but they certainly did not comply in giving me a space properly. I lost my morning off changing room and they didn't give my those hrs back (e.g finishing earlier)

NO RECOMMENDABLE, suscribo totalmente las palabras de Jhonier. Yo no aguante la experiencia y me volví antes. NO ES UN VOLUNTARIADO, ES UN TRABAJO DE LIMPIADOR/A. El trabajo consiste en limpiar baños y habitaciones profundamente, hasta el punto de que te dan un destornillador para limpiar la caca pegada a los vateres. La cocina no está equipada, desaparecían cosas y cuando solicité una sarten, en un primer momento, me dijeron que me la comprara yo en el Lidl. No se fomenta el ambiente de voluntariado, hay personas viviendo allí desde hace tiempo que hacen la convivencia muy incómoda.

Hello Nahia,

It's so sad to know that you did not feel comfortable here in London doing your Volunteering job - I remember the day you suddenly left saying you were not well and missing your family so much that you have decided to go back home you looked unhappy staying with us.

About your review I am surprised at your version of events and you did not know that Housekeeping Volunteering job means to take care of the day to day running of the hostel - We have explained that cleaning is part of the task to volunteer with us and in exchange for 20 hours we provide an accommodation. The rest of your day you can work or visit the city.

You have assumed that Volunteering meant to have a salary, so you were surprised to know that was not like that - Why you did not come to speak to me about this assumption?

You have mentioned that they have asked you to clean a bathroom with a screwdriver? That would be so wrong. We have brushes and cleaning tools for the cleaning.

You have mentioned Jhonier in your review - I was happy to see that you have made a friend when you were here - You looked very unease at the beginning of your stay and your fellow volunteers’ colleagues were worried about you because they saw you a couple of time crying alone in the smoking area sitting on the bench. In the future, please ask all modalities before applying or committing for something that you are not comfortable. Be vocal and communicate in your future placement.
