Working at the hostel is one of the best volunteering experiences I've had. The working hours are very well organised and the tasks are always changing, which prevents you from getting bored. It's a nice and quiet place, especially for those who combine volunteering with other activities like work or studying. I have learnt a lot from working with this team and of course met many amazing people! Thank you so much for such a great experience! :)

Because of personal issues I couldn't stay the time we agreed and it's sad, because the place and facilities are great and the team is absolutely amazing. Special thanks to the manager Aliou who were super kind and comprehensive and also the kind supervisor Jorge.

Overall it was a good experience. Working hours are respected. Managers are not closed to discussion. When I arrived they tried to change my working days which was originally scheduled from Monday to Friday to Wednesday to Sunday. I refused and they accepted. However, we have a lot of work to do in a short time. We are treated like employees and not volunteer. When I was sick, and I took five minutes break because I felt like I was going to faint, a manager told me I had to go to the reception to ask permission before take a break. It lacks the social and exchange part that I was expecting

The location is excellent, there are residents from all over the world and you can have contact with different cultures. It was well received, the schedules were always respected and the food is wonderful. I would stay longer for sure. Grateful for the opportunity! London is amazing 😍

I had a great experience at the hostel and felt very welcomed. The working hours in the morning let me enjoy the city an there's a bus stop right in front of the hostel. The work is easy but a little tiring as there are many tasks. The smell of the accommodation was very strong, but I understand that it was due to the food and there's nothing to be done. The kitchen has all the equipment but there's no basic utensils such as pots, plates and cutlery available, which I believe should be advised in advance. In sum, I loved it! Thank you so much to the reception staff for all the caring:)

Dear Rebeca, thank you for your feedback. I was not aware of it until Camila and you left the residence. So I will order pot and utensils for worldpackers so they have these items to cook. For Jorge, I will speak to him about these concerns as you are the second person to raise to me. Hopefully it will be a positive results for future volunteers. My experience was very positive, Aliou is a good host and they respect the hours of work. I stayed in a single room and it was very good for me, but not for everyone. I met many travellers of other nationalities. I think the kitchen could be a bit more structured with utensils (glasses, plates, cutlery).

Thank you for your feedback and I know that he can be perceived as being tough or strong somehow as he take his job seriously but he has a good side. Nevertheless I will need to talk to him to moderate his behavior toward new comers. I also like that you helped me with Laura Helena and you help keeping Davies Court clean. Take care

The experience at the hostel was good, when considering the accommodation and the location, easily with a bus at the door, they meet the established schedule and are flexible with it. However, we are treated as employees, not as volunteers.

The hostel was the best volunteer job so far. The hours are respected, the tasks are quite easy and the team always help you. I would like to say a special thank you to Barry, Sali and Bruno, amazing and competent people to work together.
