BROOMHILL Sanctuary is a hands-on regenerative learning and living ecosystem among the hills of Glenorchy. Participants engage in organic gardening, food forest care, seed saving, native habitat restoration, landscaping, and physical land projects, while immersing themselves in the rhythms of nature.
This is an experience of shared stewardship, combining practical work, reflection, creative expression, and mindful living. Residents enjoy fresh organic meals, simple but comfortable eco-accommodation, and opportunities to connect deeply with the land, community, and self.
Daily life balances hands-on learning with personal time for journaling, rest, forest walks, or optional engagements in mindfulness, herbalism, and eco-theology.
Atividades & Turnos
Morning & Midday:
Food forest and organic garden care,
Landscaping, breaking in new grounds, and soil improvement,
Native plantings and habitat restoration,
Weed management, lifting, shifting, and gathering natural resources for projects,
Composting, mulching, and seed saving
From 3:30 PM: Personal time for reflection, journaling, rest, or optional creative/learning sessions
Evening: Shared meal preparation, dining, dishes, and reflections
Weekly: Participation possible in Sanctuary and local cooperative offerings
Work expectations: Be ready to start by 9:00–9:30 AM, with lunch breaks; work usually finishes by 3:30 PM
Actively participate in assigned tasks, including physically demanding hillside projects
Bring curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn

Health & Lifestyle:
No smoking, drugs, or intoxication on-site
Digital devices remain private and are used only during personal time, away from communal areas. No pocket phones please.
No 5G phones, Sky-Link, or devices that disrupt the Sanctuary’s environment
Community & Respect:
Respect fellow participants, hosts, and all living beings
Maintain open communication and kindness in interactions
Participate in shared meals, chores, and community activities
Daily Routine:
Morning work starts by 9:00–9:30 AM
Evenings are quiet and family-focused; Sanctuary private areas close after shared dinner and dishes
Contribute to a clean, safe, and harmonious environment
General Conduct:
Honor natural cycles and the Sanctuary’s rhythms
Actively engage in shared learning, reflection, and care for the land
Respect boundaries, privacy, and communal resources
