We are looking for a night shift volunteer to help keep our hostel calm, clean and secure during the overnight hours. The ideal person is reliable and independent. They should feel comfortable standing their ground when enforcing quiet hours or dealing with disturbances, while maintaining a respectful and friendly approach. In return, we offer accommodation, two dinners per week, and a daily breakfast. Ideal for someone who enjoys night hours.

As a Night Shift Volunteer, you’ll help keep the hostel running smoothly overnight — welcoming late arrivals, keeping things peaceful, and making sure the space is clean and secure for guests. It’s a calm and responsible role that suits night owls who enjoy quiet time and helping others.

Volunteers get to have their own pod within the dorm, free dinner twice a week and free basic breakfast every day throughout their stay. We also occasionally have staff only events

Atividades & Turnos

Welcome and check in late arrivals
Keep common areas clean and organised - bin changes, sink clearance and imposing fines to guests not following the rules
Cash handling
Lock doors, monitor CCTV, and ensure quiet hours are respected
Handle guest questions or minor issues calmly and professionally
Deal appropriately with disruptive or problematic guests (with on-call support)
Prepare the handover for the morning shift
