Having this experience really amazing, Kenta, Kaede and Fumi-san all very welcoming, the kids are amazing, the facilities is 5star, i have no problem at all in the premises and the teaching sessions is always lovely. premises is near the stations, konbinis, supermarket, anything that you need. i even can borrow a bike to explore the city like visiting nearby waterfall, fuji areas, and the university. i hope i can come here again next time, thankyou for having me.

This was my first Worldpackers experience and it's probably going to be my best. Everyone at StudyGarden is incredible and helpful. The classes which take about an hour a day, are enjoyable and don't feel like work at all. Tsuru is a really nice and peaceful place with lots of stores working 24/7 which is surprising and useful. Tokyo and Mt Fuji are also really close (1h by bus or 2 by train to Shinjuku, half an hour to Mt Fuji) StudyGarden provides lots of ingredients (such as eggs, carrots..) which makes life much easier. Kenta's dog is really cute and well behaved. Overall it was wonderful!

I had an amazing time at the school! The accommodation was good and is right above the school witch is very convenient. Also the working hours are respected and easy (5h< a week). Classes are usually in the late afternoon so I had most of the day free. Mt. Fuji was visible every day from Tsuru! The train ride to Tokyo is around 2h so I was able to go multiple times. Thank you so much to Kenta, Kaede and Fumi-san for having me. I had so much fun and made many new great friends from around the world. I loved my time there and hope I can come back someday 🫶

I loved my experience in the school. Kaede and Fumi san were so nice and welcoming, and Kenta the host was also a very kind person! I met some amazing people and I got lucky with awesome roommates that I'll cherish my time with. There are a lot of stuff to do around Yamanashi prefecture, and you will be seeing Mt. Fuji almost everyday :) great nature and cool activities, and Tsuru is only one bus from Tokyo. Now for serious stuff: there are several room options, and they are not bad at all. The kitchen is well equipped. Working hours are respected -5 days a week, 2-3 hours a day in the eve.

I truly enjoyed my 2 last weeks at the school, the team is simply amazing. They are supeeer kind, they make you feel like home, the english lessons are super fun, and you can connect in such a beautiful way with the kids. Also, you have the chance to meet lovely people over there, make plans, explore... Since I came here, I just realized that I enjoy teaching english a lot! Thanks a lot, Kaede, Fumiko and Kenta, with all my heart, I already want to come back!!

My volunteer experience at the school as an English teacher was truly meaningful to me. Spending time with the kids, teaching them English, and creating fun lessons never felt like work- it was something I genuinely loved. Seeing their smiles and excitement made every day special. The teachers and helpers at the school were incredibly kind and supportive and respectful, which made the experience even better. I also had the chance to meet amazing people along the way, and those connections and memories will always stay with me. I'm very grateful for my time at the school. Thank you!

Kenta was amazing and so was volunteering at this anazing place. Not only was it a wonderful experience by teaching English to kids of all ages, but I also learned to connect with one another and build stronger friendships that I know will last a lifetime. The place is nice and cozy, giving you a traditional ryokan experience while also having stores nearby to get food and necessities. I am truly grateful to have been a part of this and would 100% recommend this to everyone:)

I cannot recommend the school enough! This was my first volunteer through worldpackers and it was everything I could've asked for. The work is easy and meaningful, the house has everything you need, the little town is cozy and peaceful and surrounded by nature and trails, I met the most amazing people ever and I learned so much about myself! Thank you Fumi-san (thank you for bringing me fruits all the time 🥹), Kaede and Kenta for the hospitality and for making me feel at home. I'll forever be grateful for this opportunity and I'll never forget this experience.

This was truly an amazing experience. It was my first time volunteering, and I couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the volunteering world. Tsuru is small, but it has everything you need, and you have a great view of Mt Fuji. Tokyo is nearby and the weekends are free, so I was able to enjoy overnight trips in different places around Japan. The kids were great and the work was easy, only 2-3 hours a day in the evening, leaving your day free too. Fumi-san and Kaede-san are super kind and will take good care of you. I reccomend this opportunity to everyone :)

My experience at the school was wonderful!! Teaching english to japanese kids is so meaningful, and what I had to do was easy and fun. I've met amazing friends and locals I will never forget. The school and dorm feels like a nice place to stay, with traditional and cozy rooms. Having most of the day free I've could really enjoyed the town of Tsuru, and going into small restaurants just to eat delicious food, being able to walk in mountains so easily was everything I wanted! It's also easy to move to other towns around like Fujiyoshida or Tokyo. Thank you so much Kaede, Fumi-san and Kenta!
