Atividades & Turnos

✨ What you’ll do:
- Cover the reception desk and welcome arriving guests.
- Receive payments from guests who check in or extend their stay.
- Keep the reception area organized and friendly
- Keep common areas clean, tidy, and organized throughout the day.
- Change bed sheets for guests who have checked out.
- Organize and store dirty linens to be taken to the laundry.
- Receive laundry from guests who want to use our laundry service.
- Provide recommendations to guests about places to visit, where to eat, and local activities.
- Turn on/off AC
- Turn water pump on/off
- One week a month run the hostel bar.
- One week a month plan events for the hostel guests.

👀 What we’re looking for:
- Friendly personality, Basic level of English and Spanish.
- Organized & reliable
- Responsible and punctual.
- Bonus: other languages (Spanish, French, etc.)

✨ What We Offer:

- Bed in a shared dorm.
- Full use of the hostel’s common areas.
- Kitchen access when available.
- One free laundry service per week.
- One free drink from our café every day for the morning shift.
- A fun, social atmosphere in one of the best areas of Puerto Escondido.

🕒 Schedule:

We work with three rotating shifts, and volunteers switch to a new schedule each week:

-Morning Shift: 8:00 am – 2:00 pm
-Afternoon Shift: 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm
-Support Shift: Covers the breaks and days off of other receptionists, with a mix of morning and afternoon hours.

Regras

- Punctuality: Arrive on time for every shift. Notify 24 hours in advance if you can’t attend.
- Attitude: Be friendly, respectful, and professional at all times.
- Cleanliness: Keep common areas, kitchen, and your bed clean and organized.
- Alcohol & substances: Do not work under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Quiet hours: Respect silence after 11:30 pm.
- Facilities: Use the kitchen and common areas responsibly; clean up after yourself.
- Reception & money: Record all payments and guest services correctly. Handle everything responsibly.
- Tasks: Complete the daily task list and report any issues or damages.
- Dress code: Wear clean, appropriate clothing. No working in swimwear.
- Coexistence: Respect guests and volunteers; avoid conflicts.
- Accommodation: No outside guests in the volunteer dorm. Keep your space tidy.
- Privacy: Do not share private information about guests or staff.
