The guesthouse is far from the city, but through that I could concentrate on nature and the lake through my travels. The staff were very nice and the guesthouse was filled with ways to learn about the area and its travel opportunities.

This experience was amazing, I stayed 2 months. The guesthouse is just in front of the beach and the lake. During summer the view is amazing with the mountains, the lake, and during nights you can chill with the Milky Way on top of you and thousands of stars because there is no light pollution. You are not far from Kyoto, Osaka, Nara and Kobe. You will have something to visit every day ! The work is cool, nothing difficult, the staff is amazing, very helpful and flexible if you need a day off, start a little bit earlier etc. I recommend this place and I will come back a few days for sure !

The place location was really unique, full of nature, mountains and the sea. The place itself is really nice and big and in my stay there for a month I was really happy

I stayed in the guest house for a month and I absolutely loved it! The work was exactly as listed and I had plenty of time to dj whatever I wanted outside of work hours. The lake is so close and the surrounding areas are great to explore. I highly recommend it!

I've had cool month up there in Otsu. Very nice people all around, cozy place and a lot to do in free time. Akane and the rest off the stuff was always helpful and nice. I hope I can comeback to visit this place in future. All the best for all of you in the guest house!

Akane-san and her husband received me with kindness ! This place is absolutely BEAUTIFUL ! Nature there is just Amazing, it's perfect if we need a peacefull ambiance ! Staff is just Amazing (Big up Makoto and Kouta ✨✨✨) and we had a nice barbecue time 🥰 100% recommended 🥰

I loved my time at Lake Biwa Guesthouse!! Akane was very welcoming and all the staff at the hostel was really friendly and social! Usually the work hours weren't too long and the cleaning was really really easy! I had so much fun with the other volunteers and I could definitely recommend!

I had a wonderful month at the guest house! The place itself is immersed in the nature, mountains on the back and the lake right in the front. If you're looking for a quiet, cozy place to immerse in the nature and have a moment for yourself, this is the one ☺️ The work was not difficult and I had enough free time to explore and have a couple of more far away trips. Akane san and the other staff members have been kind and helpful, the clients stopping by often were inclined to chat. 先月楽しかったです。ジェイホッパーズへ行くことにしてよかったです。 ありがとうございます!
