Esta ha sido mi primera experiencia de voluntariado y la verdad que me ha gustado por mis compañeros y Palermo. Además, el ambiente que teníamos en el hostel estaba muy guay y la ubicación es perfecta para moverte por la ciudad. Pero las condiciones del hostel podrían estar mejores ya que hay cosas rotas, el wifi no funciona muy bien, el cuarto del staff es bastante pequeño y el tema de comida no es suficiente.

Francesco and his family welcomed me in the nicest way possible. The hostel has a good environment to make friends and to enjoy the time you have in Palermo. I just think there's some stuff that could be fixed in the hostel to be a better environment for the volunteers and the host, but besides that it was worth it the time that I was volunteering. Very nice bunch of volunteers! The location of the hostel is perfect to discover Palermo and the work is very easy. A few things could be improved regarding the commodities and the organization. All in all I had a good experience.

Fue una experencia muy bonita, buena ubicación y la alegría de los otros voluntariados hicieron que la convivencia sea buena . Las actividades no son de gran esfuerzo, horarios flexibles y la encargada Maga motivaba y coordinaba con claridad las actividades , adémas de la excelente buena disposición . Francesco fue amable con los voluntariados. Lo único que cambiaría es arreglar las duchas del baño, agregar mas hornallas de la cocina con más utensillos y un poco más de cantidad de comida en la compra semanal.

I really enjoyed my time here and I found everyone on the team/other volunteers so welcoming and friendly and happy to help you whenever you need it. The location is perfect and the overall vibe of the hostel is very relaxed so it's very easy to make it feel like home. The work isn't too demanding either and you have plenty of free time to explore the city. I occasionally found it difficult with English being my only language when dealing with guests especially l if I was alone at the hostel and when there was general disorganisation within the hostel systems.

It was absolutely chaotic and untrue. Nothing happened what was promised. We have been called to a different address which place had a very bad vibe. The original place was very abandoned, most showers and toilets didnt work, beds were dusty, so-random schedule and everything were disorganised. Most guests we had were frightened by the conditions (just like other volunteers). In addition we had to pay for coffee, printing and no opportunity to wash our clothes. I had to leave after a few days. Absolutely not recommended. Please avoid at any cost

Gabor. I tell you that the other volunteers you mention are still working with us. The coffee and the impressions that you say, are charged for the guests. Volunteers are given weekly money to buy food, and YOU STOLEN PART OF THAT MONEY THAT WAS FOR THE VOLUNTEERS. You left your ex partners without food and you didn't care. The laundry is not included, but soap to wash your clothes if you want, and a clothes line to hang clothes in the patio it do. You asked for it and it was granted without problems. And the schedules that we coordinate are totally equitable. Nothing out of the ordinary. They are organized so that each volunteer can have their 2 days off together, giving them the chance to make plans and go out if they wish.
I am only replying to this message so that future volunteers or hosts can see that you have lied. Apparently you already have other bad performances with previous hostels. And you left the hostel without warning. You may not like the place or the tasks, but you have been disrespectful to us and to the other volunteers. Please don't come back here. Good luck.

Esta fue mi primera experiencia cómo voluntario y me voy con mucho aprendizaje, experiencias y nada de quejas, Francesco y el resto del staff es amable y flexible, recomiendo este lugar a cualquiera que quiera estar en el corazón de Sicilia.

Francesco me abrió las puertas de su hostel haciendo que me sienta bienvenida desde el primer momento, mi experiencia este último mes fue más que enriquecedora y me voy muy feliz, gracias por ser mi hogar lejos de casa por un rato!
