Realizar voluntariados en temporada baja tiene sus pros y sus contras. La parte de socialización con los huéspedes queda en un segundo plano ya que no hay tanta demanda de hospedaje, dando lugar a poder conocer gente local. A su vez, la tareas en el hostel son super tranquilas. Como en todos lados, es importante la organización y buena comunicación entre los voluntarios para mantener una buena convivencia. Se han respetado los acuerdos de horarios y trabajo. Sin dudas volvería!

Was a good experience, there's a lot of flexibilty but you need to be committed and organized to make it work, the other volunteers were like a family to me so that was the best part. Thanks Francesco!

Buena experiencia, pude conocer la ciudad de Palermo y practicar Italiano, las reglas de lo que hay que hacer están en el computador y hay flexibilidad de horario, el hostal es pequeño asi que lo que hay que limpiar y ordenar no es muy pesado.

I had one of the most exciting experiences of my life. In Palermo, every day brought a new bar, restaurant, or cool street to explore, and the hostel guests were always up for joining in. As for the host, Francesco was incredible, incredibly welcoming, and made me feel at home. Regarding the property, being an old building, it needs some repairs, but it's still a place you can call home. This is the volunteer opportunity for those looking to exercise their responsibility, as the shifts are quite active, and it's necessary to stay focused during your shift to not disrupt the one following.

Time spent in Palermo was unforgettable. This city is really special, you have much time to enjoy all Sicilia. Owners of the hostel are very friendly and caring people, which you can always talk about everything. Tasks is very easy and doesn't took to much time. This place definitely gonna stay in my heart ❤️

Amazing experience right in the heart of Palermo. Met so many amazing people and the other volunteers were like a family. Work is laid back and easy, schedule is great.

The hostel was very centrally located--close to nightlife and the main street in the city. It is also next to the train station which was very convenient for any day trips to beaches and other tourist locations. While it doesn't have the most modern facilities (AC, plumbing, kitchen appliances), they get the job done. While working here I met some incredibly kind and interesting people from all around the world. I am very grateful for this experience and recommend it to anyone who wants to explore Sicily.

One of the best volunteers I have ever been, don't hesitate to apply, is really worth it. You will have a really great and powerful experience. Maria, which is the manager, is a really rational and cheerful person!! Everything was on point, I can't complain, I definitely would repeat!!

Francesco, his family, and the other volunteers were so welcoming the second I arrived. I met so many amazing guest as well. The task were easy to learn and simple to complete. The hostel is very close to everything so it was easy to see all the amazing things Palermo has to offer. If there were any issues we all came together to solve them and worked together. Thank you for the experience and having me be apart of the team!

I had a good time at the hostel. I made many friends, I practiced English and Spanish. The work is very relaxed and shifts rotate, meaning you have free time to explore Palermo and the surrounding area. The other volunteers have been very nice and welcoming since my arrival. Maria, the new manager of the hostel, has made a lot of effort to organize the activities and also to help us, always very understanding. Thanks!!!!
