I have had such a wonderful time here at Tara the Center over the last two weeks and I leave a different person to the one that arrived. The community here are so loving and welcoming, and they really care for you. I did different tasks here including cooking, serving in the cafe and building/grounds maintenance, each of which I really enjoyed and gave great opportunity to serve others and promote the activities of the Center. The vegetarian food was was brilliant and there are many opportunities to take part in meditation sessions and learn Bhudhism. Thank you to everyone and I highly recommend.

Tara is one of the best Kadampas to volunteer... The place is beautiful, the room is comfortable, the people are friendly and willing and there are many blessings involved in such a special place. Yes, there is a lot of work to be done, but if you come with an open heart you will realize that the spiritual work we need to do within ourselves is much greater than the manual work. I recommend it and will be back soon!

I had an unforgettable and fulfilling time at the Tara Meditation Center! The work arrangement are reasonable, and there are various flexible tasks. Working in the cafe allowed me to learn a lot of relevant knowledge, and it was extremely rewarding to collaborate with many genuine people. Also the scenery here is beautiful, making it a great choice to go hiking on the rest day! I recommend this place to everyone who wants to have an meaningful volunteering experience. I would love to be here again!

This was my third time in Tara and I will definitely come back countless more times, I would stay forever, if possible. The nature around Tara is perfect... the people are like a second family to me, the food is great... And being able to serve the Center, Geshe-la, Buddha is an immense pleasure for me. I recommend it to everyone who wants to experience a special volunteering experience, this is definitely the best place!

Joseli is one of the kindest and friendliest people I have worked with, she is a fantastic worker who takes on all tasks with a happy, peaceful mind. Her work is of the highest standard and she is able to work in any department and adapt easily.

She is also a great example of a Buddhist practitioner - always smiling and with a kind and helpful manner.

I had a very nice time there. Everyone is very nice and always smiling, which creates a very nice environment. Work hours are respected. If I only have one thing to say, it's that it was a little bit cold, especially in the kitchen, but they made sure to put the heater on a little bit. Otherwise I would recommend this experience!

Tara the Center is surrounded by a stunning and very peaceful nature. The lounge is very lovely. Since I did multiple jobs ( such as gardening, cleaning, kitchen, cafe shop...) I learned a lot! It was like a "life school" for me. Other volunteers and many other people were very nice people. Other than a few small misunderstandings and the man who is responsible for the building (He was rude to me and some other volunteers), I am happy that I joined and I learned SO MANY THINGS! Good contribution for the rest of my life. Thank you and best wishes

The hosts are organized with their hours and work, however the kitchen staff have very short hours, all day until 7:30 pm. They put you in groups that can be kitchen, cleaning, cafeteria or maintenance, which is generally in green areas. For the latter, the work can be hard and although they agree on 6 hours, I would think that it could be a long time, 5 hours would be better. If you are assigned to the cafeteria and cleaning, it is more relaxed. On the other hand, the hosts are very respectful and the food is mostly vegetarian, quite good, sometimes a little simple.

TARA me ha encantado, generas una relación de amor/odio algunas veces, diría que el 90% son cosas buenas y el 10% son malas, los Budistas fueron personas maravillosas, algunos con más carácter que otros. El equipo de trabajo y admin en su mayoría me ha tratado muy bien. Donna:Eres un amor de persona, tienes un corazón hermoso. Xime/Nat:Ustedes le dan vida a la administración. Sam:Debes mejorar el tacto con las personas y el tipo de tareas, somos voluntarios, no trabajadores. Ross:Tipo duro, de otra generación y crianza, necesitas sanar y recibir amor, nunca obtuve palabras amables de ti.

La estancia fue muy buena. Íbamos en dúo y los primeros días no teníamos en mismo horario pero después se nos cambió y la mayoría de días coincidimos. Las personas que trabajan en el centro son maravillosas. Todo el mundo es muy cordial, buenas personas, nos enseñaron mucho acerca del budismo y de cómo tomarse la vida de manera más sencilla y feliz. Especial mención a Ximena, es encantadora, sin duda la estancia ha sido mucho mejor gracias a ella. Recomiendo el voluntariado, es una experiencia muy gratificante.

Nuestra estadía allí como pareja de voluntarias ha sido muy buena a pesar de que los primeros días no pudimos hacer prácticamente nada porque no nos coincidían los horarios y teníamos que trabajar una por la tarde y otra por la mañana. Pero los anfitriones nos solucionaron el problema y a partir de ahí disfrutamos mucho más de nuestra estancia. Muchas gracias a todos por tratarnos tan bien, se respira un aire tranquilo y bueno en este lugar por la gente tan amable que hay en el. Además hemos aprendido mucho sobre el budismo y esta forma de vida más tranquila.
