💪🏽 / The work is hard, for a few hours the restaurant is packed and you will have to multitask (like everyone else) but it is worth it, the house that I volunteer for looks more like a palace, with 5 floors, so you will be comfortable, Emma is a good host. I had a good experience. 💪🏽

The host Hoi An is not just a building with beautiful architecture and not just one of many restaurants. It feels more like a culinary island you don't want to leave. The food is beautifully presented and genuinely delicious. The team is made up of easygoing, positive, and energetic people. The work itself is not difficult, but it includes many important details and nuances that made the experience valuable for me. I stayed for one month. Accommodation was private and comfortable, with a kitchen and a washing machine. I truly enjoyed my time here and can highly recommend this experience to

I had a great time in the host working in marketing taking videos and pictures, Hoi An is a great town where you can relax and hang out, a lot of places to eat or drink something. Emma was a great host with a lot of communication.

Had a great time volunteering for the host! Emma was very flexible and it was great having a private room and a yummy meal from the restaurant daily. There is a lack of structure and organisation to the exchange, along with the GM wait staff team not wanting to be in social media posts so if you're not great with figuring things out on your own it may be challenging. Other than that, it was great to live like a local in Hoi An - a truly beautiful city. Hope to come back sometime!

I had a great experience at the host, especially working with Emma and the other volunteers. We had dinner and coffee together during my stay, always sharing new ideas and having a great time. The restaurant is about 15 minutes by bicycle from the house, so if you know how to ride a bike, it's great for you! Hoi An is a small city but has a lot to do, beach, river side and amazing coffee shops

I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of the host community. Although I'm not working in the restaurant itself, I've been helping Emma with her book publishing and creating content for the host—even without prior experience. Emma's kindness and trust gave me the chance to learn and grow, and I'll never forget that. I want to extend my deepest thanks to Emma, Jam, and Mr. Hai for welcoming me so warmly and believing in me. Their support and encouragement made my experience truly meaningful. I highly recommend the host to other volunteers!

My experience at the host was absolutely amazing. Even thought I left early due to personal reasons. Emma & Jam were really understanding about it. The villa you live in, is 30mins walk from the restaurant you work in. Stay is clean and beautiful. I learnt alot with the other workers at the restaurant, also amazing people. You have pretty cut cafes and bars walking distance from your stay. You get a bicycle of your own to explore around. Work is easy, I wish I could stay longer. I will come again surely❤️

I chose the host M because I wanted to connect more with local people through something Vietnam is so famous for: its cuisine. It was a great experience to learn more about their gastronomy and their lovely people. The team is kind and friendly. As a volunteer, I worked at the restaurant interacting with customers as a host and waitress. As a suggestion, it would be wonderful to involve volunteers in the cooking classes they offer, because with proper guidance we could assist the “chef” with anything needed and at the same time learn how to cook delicious Vietnamese dishes. Thanks the host M ☀️💕

An experience that touched me deeply! I felt at home from the first day. The accommodations were perfect: a 10-minute bike ride from the restaurant, with a private and very comfortable room. Meals were a daily treat: both the staff menu and the restaurant's—the best of both worlds. Sharing with the staff connected me to special moments. Hai and Emma took my safety very seriously, always making sure I was comfortable. Although the language was sometimes difficult,we forged beautiful bonds. My greatest treasure: the friendship with Emma and Jam, which I will forever hold in my heart. Thanks a lot

This was my first volunteering experience on Worldpackers and I couldn't recommend it more! Emma the host was lovely and the whole team at the host are epic! Teamwork is a big thing at this place & the energy is very good! I met some relaxing volunteers during my time as well as the respective members of staff. The restaurant serves great food, great to get quality food for a change! The house they give you to stay in is excellent and while the work can be tough sometimes, it's very rewarding and you meet interesting people. I ended up extending my stay by 2 weeks with no regrets
