In the beginning there was some communication issues. I applied to do social media and my tasks ending up being gardening and mosaics. Breakfast was not included like stated in the listing, but meals in town were affordable. I really enjoyed learning to make mosaics and the property is beautiful. I made connections with fellow volunteers. Thank you for the experience.

Really one of a kind experience. Fun to learn about mosaic tiling and be apart of the local small village in bali for a bit.

A beautiful experience in this house, crafted and filled with art, life, and nature. It's a highly inspiring place with a genuine Balinese essence. During my stay, I wasn't able to learn about mosaics because there were no projects at the time, but I did learn from the environment and also helped by taking photos of the jewelry created by the artist Shankari. Thank you so much for the opportunity.

I had a great time at Shankari's residence. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to work with the tiles, which was my main motivation for coming, but the natural surroundings were stunning, and I really enjoyed the gardening tasks. The experience felt very authentic, and Balian has truly become one of my favorite places in Bali. You can try amazing local dishes nearby, and Nur at the accommodation is incredibly helpful, especially when it comes to renting a scooter. I also met some wonderful people from different parts of the world, which made the experience even more special. 💕

My experience at Shankari the project was amazing. It was a privilege to stay in that hidden gem in Bali, surrounded by nature and local culture. I enjoyed working in the garden and making mosaics. I learned a lot and also connected with people from all over the world. Thank you.
