Spending 2 weeks at the school with Channa and Nady really was a great experience on our travels through Thailand. Since you are so far away from the beaches and tourism, you really get an insight into the local culture; the monestary, the markets, the Muay Thai and if you're lucky some festivities. Be prepared to take responisbility for managing your lesson preparation and the content you would like to teach. The children we were allowed to teach we alltogether great and fun to work with and I would highly recommend participating at the school here in Sisaket, Thailand.

My time here was a unique experience in Thailand. The experiences both as a teacher and in my free time will remain in my memory. The children are respectful and full of love. Especially the monks and the kindergarten are great to teach. The team (Channa and Nadine) are helpful and kind. They enjoy spending time with the volunteers and Chana organizes fun events on the weekends. Recommend it to others! (This was my first time as a volunteer at Worldpackers and I was nervous beforehand. But then I quickly felt very comfortable)

I had a great experience the school, the whole team was really caring with us (special thanks to Channa and Nady), the kids are so precious and smart, all the people living in that small village are so kind, which made the experience even better, and also shout out to the muay thai team. Will definitely comeback someday. Love u the school♥️🥰

I totally recomend this volunteer, it's been such a great experience. The place is calm and with good vibes. You have a market near, your neighbours will be monks and local people and the food is nice!! PD: You don't have to be a teacher go there and teach english to these grateful and happy children. Just be yourself and connect with your purest self. Best regards the school and Sisaket.

It was a unique experience — bonding with kids, teaching monks, practising my teaching skills, meditating, and even doing Muay Thai daily. The place blends rare elements into something special, but it also has challenges: figuring out classes on our own, not knowing students' levels, and teaching 5h/day can be tiring. Worth it if you enjoy adapting, stepping out of your comfort zone, and working independently. Check if there'll be other volunteers — it can make a big difference. Overall, it's a mix of amazing moments and real challenges!

My experience was both challenging and rewarding. I loved getting to know each class, joining monks in evening meditations, and trying Muay Thai! While the school was welcoming, there was a lack of clarity around scheduling —our agreed two days off per week weren't honoured. Teaching without much guidance was tough, especially with language barriers, but it pushed me to be resourceful and adaptable. Despite the challenges, I'm grateful to have contributed to the students' English the school and experience another side of Thailand. Thank you Nady for your kindness and delicious food!

I had a great time the school! All the students are really great. I got to see an amazing part of Thailand and its culture that I otherwise never would have experienced. The host and the school are so welcoming and helpful! It's also really fun to be able to join the Muay Thai trainings:)

Teaching monks (9–14 years old—my favorites!), kindergarteners, high school students, a football team, and Muay Thai fighters has been unforgettable. The host and everyone involved create such a warm, welcoming environment that makes every moment rewarding. If you're considering volunteering, don't hesitate! Volunteering in the school phrai phattana was a super nice experience to have more awareness of social reality of small village in Thailand, it's a really calm and quiet place and the hours of working gives you lot of free time. The staff is very kind and helpful and the accomodation inside monk's village is really nice.
