The place is a campsite and you can't expect much, but the least you can do is have the manager Elias not be there all day smoking joints, disappearing because he took ecstasy and can't work for 3 days, they hire crazy people who end up harassing clients, the manager is a drug addict with anger issues who gets angry at the slightest thing, the best thing about the campsite is going to Stoke and hanging out there because the camping doesn't meet Worldpacker or legal requirements, honestly Arnold, if you're going to answer any nonsense you'd better shut up because you weren't there.

It was a very short experience due to issues that are beyond our control, but the people are very kind and friendly; They do group activities among the volunteers to have more unity. I want to thank Arnou for contacting me and offering me an additional place to continue my volunteering, he was very kind and gentle; However, I got an opportunity that I was waiting for and I couldn't spend any more time in Amsterdam. I hope to return in a few months, thank you. I hope to meet you and your dog in person one day.

The campsite is a very pleasant place, located in a quiet area surrounded by nature. The facilities are excellent, with clean bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and easy access to the camping. The atmosphere is welcoming, with wonderful volunteers, bicycles available for use, and even free food and drinks. It's the perfect spot for those who enjoy camping and are looking for a peaceful and enriching experience. However, my experience wasn't perfect due to the rude and aggressive behavior of the only manager Elias. He showed a lack of skill in managing teams, creating an uncomfortable environment

I didn't volunteer at this campsite but at a restaurant in Almere, however I did stay in a tent and that was... an experience. People are so nice but I wish they could've been clearer about working days and schedules, we're supposed to work 32H a week but the restaurant opens 10H a day and remains closed for 2 or 3 days (this may vary), if you talk to them then you'll only work this time but I just wish it didn't feel like asking for permission when it's our right. The good thing is that we could eat from the restaurant which was so nice. FYI: WiFi doesn't reach the volunteers campsite

Arnaud is a good guy but the site manager Matteo is a depraved guy, he's violent, aggressive and has been sued plenty of times for this... It's sad how only one person can ruin an entire experience. Had to leave without notice because of this, I felt extremely threatened.. Bad experience, wouldn't recommend..

On one side, this experience has been good for me because I wanted to get involved myself. All my tasks has been completed by me and I adapted to everything situations. This was my target which I established before my arrive at the camping in Amsterdam. I had the chance to speak foreign languages and also Dutch. On another side, I had to work too for a volunteer from 8:00 AM until 20:00 PM The conditions of camping were under construction and they were not good to receive the volunteer. There were not the laudries to wash dress after work. I had to wait to have a shower.

Hi Gioel. Thanks for your feedback. I would still like to comment on a few things you mention. You stayed by far most of the time in a Glamping Lodge when that would actually be a regular tent. I also mentioned in response to an earlier review that our renovation did indeed take longer than planned but also that for the short time it was needed, a very good alternative was available at the sports club next door. Our washing machines were indeed not connected yet but there was a laundrette around the corner and we simply paid for your costs. Furthermore, you write that you had to work from 8am to 8pm. Again, I think you are mixing up a few things here. If you help out with us, it is a maximum of 8 hours a day. Occasionally it was longer because we wanted to finish something but you were always compensated for that on other days. You also sometimes worked longer because you overslept in the morning and therefore started much later. Anyway, I hope you manage to stay in the Netherlands permanently (which you were planning to do) and I hope you will drop by again to see how beautiful everything has become. Ciao...

Amsterdam is beautiful! When I arrived everything went a bit bumpy since it was really rainy and not everything was as expected. But we were allowed to stay in a tiny house for the first weeks, which was really nice! During my stay everything was improving, especially in the last two weeks. Elias is absolutely hard-working and always making an effort. I really worked with the loveliest people! One of my friends was allowed to visit me and I'm very grateful for that! :) So everything is improving from day to day and I'd really like to pop by someday to see the completely finished campsite! :D

The offer does not correspond to the truth. The campsite is not ready to receive volunteers. I had to wait over two weeks to get access to the toilets and showers. Nobody warned me during the interview. I absolutely do not recommend this campsite unless you like survival. Nothing is prepared to welcome us in good conditions.

Hartelijke groeten,

Arnoud
