This was my first worldpacker experience and it was even better than I could have hoped for! I had an amazing time and met the best people. The team makes it very easy for you to feel welcome and comfortable and the hostel is amazing to connect and make new friends. You get more than enough time to explore the city and they have lots of events going on in the bar at night. The work is definitely physical work but was never too much! I overall loved my stay and would always come back :)

I stayed for almost two months and enjoyed it so much! The location is amazing, close to everything. You get breakfast, clean sheets and towels. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, especially Ryan! You can have a good chat with him and get good recommendations especially vegan ones! The job is housekeeping from 10/11 in the morning and then you have the evening for yourself. On breakfast days it starts around 7:00 till 13:00 approximately. You work 3 days a week! The job is not hard, but sometimes can get physical. The room is cozy, the people were amazing, would recommend 100%!

My experience at the hostel was nice, it was my first experience and it couldn't have been better. The tasks are explained at all times. Some are hard but not difficult. The best thing for me were the volunteers, you create a very nice friendship with them. Ryan is a very good person and he listens to you whenever you have a problem and the managers are very good people you can tell them anything about it and they are there to support you. The schedule is very good, there are days when you have up to 4 days off, which is a good thing if you want to travel around Scotland!✨

I had no idea what to expect when I chose this last-minute volunteer opportunity, but it turned into a truly magical experience. The work was simple, yet the warmth of the team made it unforgettable. Sharing a room with people from all over the world brought lifelong friendships. The staff, like Lauren, Rithvik, Martin, Mel, Ryan, and Alex, became my support system, always there with kindness. the hostel isn't just a place—it's a family and safe space that makes you feel at home and valued for who you are. I'm so grateful, especially to Ryan, for being part of my beautiful journey.

Mi estancia en el hostel superó totalmente mis expectativas. Esta fue mi primera experiencia como worldpacker y no puedo estar más contenta y agradecida. Ryan y el resto del equipo se portaron genial con todos los voluntarios, siempre atentos y dispuestos a ayudar, haciéndonos sentir como uno más. El hostel y las habitaciones de los voluntarios también están muy bien y con una ubicación inmejorable. En cuanto al trabajo, trabajamos 3 días a la semana. Los turnos son muy llevaderos y normalmente los días libres son consecutivos. En general, recomiendo muchísimo el hostel, yo repetiría sin duda.

Volunteering at the hostel was an amazing opportunity. We all had 1 breakfast and 2 housekeeping shifts per week and always finished in the early afternoon so there was so much time to explore the hostel see a ton of shows during the Fringe Festival. There are always other international volunteers there to socialise with and I definitely felt welcomed by them all. Ryan (the host) was super flexible with shifts if you had a preference on days you wanted to work, he always tried to accomodate requests and he's lovely to have a chat to. I would definitely recommend!

Ha sido el primer voluntariado que hago y sin duda super recomendable! Mi principal objetivo era pasar tiempo fuera de casa para mejorar el ingles y disfrutar tambien de tiempo libre para vacaciones. Se trabajan 3 dias, que suelen ser consecutivos. Por lo que tienes bastante tiempo libre en la semana. El hostal está muy ubicado y ofrece buenos servicios. Los trabajadores y el equipo siempre muy amables, desde luego gracias a todos. Por último, la ciudad es encantadora. Por lo que si estás buscando otro hostal o un voluntariado, te recomiendo encarecidamente este.

I had an amazing time! It was my first time volunteering and for the hours we worked and the location it was perfect! I was able to travel around the country and explore the city as well as spend time in the hostel with the other volunteers! I thought that overall the hours and work we did was very reasonable and was what I expected. I am so glad that I had this experience and am grateful I was able to do it here!!
