My experience at the hostel in Edinburgh was amazing. The staff are super friendly and welcoming and I made some lifelong friends here. The hostel is located in a great part of the city where you are able to easily explore. In addition, the working days are flexible allowing you to explore more of Scotland if you wish. I highly recommend and will definitely be back to visit.

I had a very good experience in this hostel! I was living in a room with 3 other people and I only have to work 3 days per week which gave me the chance to explore this beautiful city. The work was helping during breakfast time (assisting the buffet area and cleaning the dishes and everything that has been used) and housekeeping (stripping beds, vacuuming the corridors, cleaning the rooms, making beds,etc). Also, as part of the volunteer we had a kitchen just for us! Also at the bar they organize different events like karaoke, game night with free pizza, DJ set, etc. Thank you Ryan! :)

I had an amazing experience!! We only worked three days a week doing breakfast or stripping beds. The accommodation is a bed in a 4 person room in an 8 person apartment with a kitchen. The location is on the bar street, right by the Uni of the hostel Arthur's seat. Ryan is awesome, and really makes you feel at home. Not the best hostel for meeting other travelers, but the work was easy and there is a bar + beer garden down below. I recommend for anybody that is trying to slow down after a while of traveling. During the spring, the hostels, main demographics are families and school trips.

I had such a nice time at the hostel! Everyone was very nice and the working hours were more than fair, leaving me with plenty of time to explore the city. I made plenty of friends and memories and I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone considering!

This was my first worldpacker experience and it was even better than I could have hoped for! I had an amazing time and met the best people. The team makes it very easy for you to feel welcome and comfortable and the hostel is amazing to connect and make new friends. You get more than enough time to explore the city and they have lots of events going on in the bar at night. The work is definitely physical work but was never too much! I overall loved my stay and would always come back :)

I stayed for almost two months and enjoyed it so much! The location is amazing, close to everything. You get breakfast, clean sheets and towels. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, especially Ryan! You can have a good chat with him and get good recommendations especially vegan ones! The job is housekeeping from 10/11 in the morning and then you have the evening for yourself. On breakfast days it starts around 7:00 till 13:00 approximately. You work 3 days a week! The job is not hard, but sometimes can get physical. The room is cozy, the people were amazing, would recommend 100%!

My experience at the hostel was nice, it was my first experience and it couldn't have been better. The tasks are explained at all times. Some are hard but not difficult. The best thing for me were the volunteers, you create a very nice friendship with them. Ryan is a very good person and he listens to you whenever you have a problem and the managers are very good people you can tell them anything about it and they are there to support you. The schedule is very good, there are days when you have up to 4 days off, which is a good thing if you want to travel around Scotland!✨

I had no idea what to expect when I chose this last-minute volunteer opportunity, but it turned into a truly magical experience. The work was simple, yet the warmth of the team made it unforgettable. Had such a great time at the hostel the team are really nice and I got plenty of time to see the city and venture out and see more. Made some great friends and memories. Definitely in my back pocket to come back :)
