This was a great first worldpackers experience. martin is a super laid back and personable host. the schedule was 1 day on 2 days off but was very flexible. the work itself was cleaning the kitchen, living, and bathrooms, then staying at the hostel to answer guest questions. martin and a few of his friends stayed there full time and hosted unofficial hostel activities. there were always guests coming in and out. we made friends with the locals as well. the accommodation was basic but matched the pictures. samara is a cute, small beach town that i would definitely visit again!

I appreciated to collaborate with Martin, always a room to talk about anything that you need, amazing communication ! The tasks are basics house keeping, nothing hard and lot of free time !

Martin is a super kind guy, very welcoming and understanding, unfortunately we ended leaving before the end of our term but only because of our personal choice, the work itself is pretty chill but could honestly be a little bit more organized.

I think this is a great experience for travelers who want to visit Costa Rica but have a shorter-time frame. The work can be tiring because it's all upfront, but afterwards it's nice to have the rest of your trip off. Sharlie was very considerate when it came to my schedule, and even gave me my birthday off because it was originally scheduled during my work period!
