This was my first volunteering experience and God I loved it. The hostel is great, the job made me learn so many things and meet lots of new people, but the best part were the colleagues, they made me feel so comfortable trough my whole stay. I can't thank the hostel Bar enough for receiving me and making me have this great experience!

Al principio, la primera impresión que tuve fue de caos y desorganización. En todo lo relacionado al trabajo no había organización ni tampoco un encargado de formar a los voluntarios lo cual te lleva a equivocarte muchas veces y a aprender con prueba y error. Por otro lado los trabajadores en general eran bastante amables salvo alguna excepción. La habitación donde dormíamos era demasiado pequeña para 8 personas y solo tenia las camas. Y las instalaciones como la cocina estaban bien pero a veces no podías usarlas y podías quedarte sin comer. Aún asi, te vas acostumbrando y al final esta bien.

Mi experiencia fue mejorando, y finalizó siendo bastante buena. Al principio, era bastante caos, me pedían hacer tareas sin haberme explicado casi nada. Sin embargo, con el tiempo, fui aprendiendo más y el trabajo se volvió mucho más disfrutable. Casi todo el staff era bastante amable y tenían paciencia contigo. El hostal está bastante bien, es amplio y muy céntrico. No obstante, las instalaciones no son muy buenas: el ascensor en gran parte de nuestra estancia no funcionó, y vivíamos en un sexto. En la habitacion (para 8 personas) no había ninguna mesa y solo una silla, siendo muy incómodo.

I met nice people there, and the host was nice too. This place may be very suitable for some people, but not necessarily for me. If you like to party and drink every night, then I can suggest this place for you ☺️

Hostel located in an amazing position, this will give you the chance to easily reach a lot of places. Tasks, working hours and shifts are tough tho, amazing colleagues.

The hostel is very well located, it has a very fun bar and most of the staff is great! Regarding the comforts, I consider that not having an oven/kitchen available for the volunteers and the staff is uncomfortable, especially in stays of several weeks, you can hardly ever cook. As for cleaning, in some sectors it is not optimal. I stayed for less time than agreed, due to changes in personal plans, but comfort also influenced my decision. Anyway, I think it's a good volunteer for short stays :)

No recomiendo este lugar, fiesta todos los días y el trabajo es mas pesado que el de los propios trabajadores, mala organización, no la llegue a conocer a la anfitriona hasta después de empezar a trabajar. por suerte nuestra pieza era solo de chicas y se respetaba el silencio y el orden, pero luego la cambiaron a una pieza mixta, me retiré antes del lugar porque era muy incómodo vivir ahí, muy difícil cocinar, a veces no se podía tener un lugar tranquilo donde comer, no teníamos donde lavar ropa y el lugar estaba muy poco higiénico, hasta hubo un brote de rotavirus en mi instancia y enferme.

Dear Macarena. We are in no way perfect, but its really not true that all our volunteers were not happy, we still have volunteers from when you were because they enjoy it. I also think perhaps it just wasnt a good match at all. Hope you enjoy Denmark
