If you want to connect with nature, local culture, local vibes, local food and helping teaching a language this is your place. Yo will also have a lot of free time. I had a great experience in Bilong Petung with Mr. Sahirin and his family. Initially it was a bit of a culture shock but him and his sisters really looked after me and I really got to live in with local people 😁 Teaching English to the kids and also Sahirin's sister was very fulfilling and I was also taken to see a local waterfall. Would definitely recommend this experience if you truly want to live within a local community and experience the culture of Lombok 😊

One of the best things I've done in seven months travelling; being able to live in a quiet village, with such a nice family and community. Sahirin even taught us some Indonesian language which has really made my travels here better, and despite never properly teaching before I had so much fun working with the kids. Pika and Nurmisah were so welcoming and treated us like family, as well as everyone else in the village who are unbelievably friendly whether they spoke English or not :))

I had so much fun and grew as a person through this volunteering experience. They made me feel like I was one more of the family, always giving me delicious food, making sure I was feeling good, taking me to explore around, having good and funny conversations, and learning a lot about them and their culture. I would highly recommend this experience I felt so welcome and enjoyed doing the volunteer work! Thank you, Sahirin and family.

I had a wonderful time with Mr Sahirin and his family. They are so kind and caring that I became part of the family and it was hard to leave. During my stay I had to teach English to children in near villages for 2 hours a day, at the afternoon I did one hour of Indonesian, because I wanted to learn, and after dinner I taught them Spanish. Those moments were really funny, we laughed a lot every night! I recommend this experience for anyone that would like to connect with local people and culture. Thank you family I would definitely come back ❤️🫡

I had a wonderful experience at Lombok Geosea, Sahirin and his family really make you feel at home. They are always available to show you the surroundings or help you with anything you might need. I feel like it has been the best way to discover about Lombok and connecting with locals. Moreover, the experience of teaching English has also been very fulfilling, because I enjoyed very much contributing in the improvement of their English knowledge. I would definitely come back for my next trip to Indonesia!

I had an amazing time staying with Sahirin and his lovely family. I felt welcomed straight away and like a part of the family which was really nice. I really enjoyed teaching the children English as they are very keen to learn and to talk to you. I also really enjoyed going to the garden each morning to help with what needed to be done. There are also some very beautiful waterfalls nearby which Sahirin will happily take you to! A great experience

This was An amazing experience. At first it was a bit of a cultural shock, but Sahirin and his family we're super welcoming. The moment you arrive you're part of the family. You truly make an impact and feel like you're making the kids learn something new, and you also help the family with improving their English. Sahirin tries to show you as much as possible of the area and can take you to waterfalls, rice fields, the beach or a road trip :) If you want to fully immerse yourself into a new culture and want to live very sober and make an impact, then this experience is definitely for you!

Amazing experience! The host family was incredibly kind and welcoming – they made us feel at home from the very beginning. The food was delicious and gave us a real taste of the local culture :) The accommodation is very simple, but it gives you a truly local experience! Teaching English was a lot of fun. In the afternoons, we had a class with children – they were lovely and full of energy. In the evenings, we gave lessons to adults, which was a great balance to the kids. We always laughed a lot, and everyone was eager to learn.
