Hi, I really enjoy this experience because it goes with my goals. Since I started this volunteer program I really wanted to practice German and be able to develop social skills. I met the stuff and they are really kind, Nelly who is the one in charge of the program is always present and motivating us. And we have two days free so we can relax, see the city or just rest. Depends on you. I'm so grateful for this opportunity c:

Hostel well located, with well-distributed tasks, excellent food and private accommodation for volunteers fully equipped. The host NELLY, perfect, he is kind, sweet, friendly and above all very helpful. I'll give him 5 stars! ( It's not the hostel but the hostel, you won't have a connection that the hostel can offer but if you just want a great place to be while enjoying Vienna it's perfect. NELLY, YOU ARE THE BEST!

My overall experience at A&the hostel was satisfying. I helped with breakfast and coffee shifts, and the working hours were well respected. The accommodation was comfortable, with a dedicated room for volunteers. After completing my shift, I had plenty of time to explore Vienna. There was someone available to explain the tasks but also you can ask the staff, and they will help you. A big thanks to the other volunteers for sharing great memories together!

I had a great time meeting the volunteers and the staff working here. I felt welcomed immediately upon my arrival by other volunteers, Nelly and Shanky. Nelly showed me around the hostel we did several social things together. Just have in mind that the social part was always organised by Nelly, since he's no longer part of this experience, you will need to organise social stuff amongst yourselves The tasks are simple and manageable, especially if you have hospitality experience This experience is good for those who want to stay in Vienna for free, but don't expect comfort or healthy food

Volunteering at a&o Vienna has been a deeply enriching and memorable experience 🙌🏻 This month was filled with significant learning! One of the highlights was the guidance and constant commitment of Nelly, who played a crucial role as our leader. He was always available to guide us, answer our questions, and ensure we were all comfortable and focused on our tasks. Abaout the tasks, were easy and clear. My experience as a volunteer at A&the hostel was great! The staff and other volunteers were very friendly. I met many good people there. They tried to respect our privacy and relaxation :) The food they provided and the share room were also good. On weekends, the food serving time was different depending on the guest reservation, sometimes it wasn't served at all, so I had to check the meal serving time on weekends, it was inconvenient. It was ideal to work like 5 hours a day, 5days a week but sometimes it's very tiring bc there was a lot of guests. Overall, I would say that I was satisfied.

It was a good experience. You need to understand that they give you 3 times of food the majority of days the hostel decent share room but the 5 hours per day you have to do are really a job. The majority of the volunteers I met there were incredible and we respected the privacy, silence and time of the others. The Worldpackers program is good, but the management of the Hostel is very deficient, the staff do whatever they want to, it doesn't exist a way to blend the volunteers with the staff and the customer services of the staff is not always the best one.

It was a very nice experience over all! There's not much choice/diversity with shifts because they have more need to have volunteers on specific shifts, like for breakfast or dinner, and not as much in reception and bar, but they were easy, just 5 hours and left plenty of time to explore the city and do other activities! Room and food was all okay, it's a big place and staff team so it's not one of those places that creates the "family environment" but the interaction with guests and social events they have on some days were very cool!

I had an incredible experience at a&o! Both the city and the accommodation far exceeded my expectations. The tasks were super manageable, partly thanks to the helpful staff and friendly guests . Honestly, my favorite part of the experience was connecting with people from all over the world and getting to know at least a small part of their stories As for the city, Vienna is packed with history and absolutely stunning to look at. And let's not forget—it's home to the best cafés in the world So, if u r looking to meet new people while diving into the local culture, make sure to check out a&o!
