From start to finish, my experience at the farm felt as if I came home from a long trip. Everyone living and working with the farm were welcoming and encouraging. They offered activities that connected me with nature and left a lasting, positive impression on the land. Fanny motivated me to push myself when it came to practicing my Spanish speaking skills and embrace my Latinx roots without judgement. I'll hold onto that forever. Thank you! Gratitude is shared amongst everyone intertwined in this community. I wish the trip could have lasted another week; so I'll have to come back!

Fanny and Alex are incredibly kind and welcoming. Everyone on the farm is very warm and want to help you get the best experience, from Ricardo showing me the toucans at 6 in the morning to Ina cooking the most amazing food everyday. Fanny and Alex were both very patient with us as a group and if we had any needs or special arrangements, they made sure we were good. I had an amazing week.

This was such a wonderful experience for me and it was unexpected how life changing it was. The host family was beyond kind and made us all feel at home. The food was amazing, the activities were so fun and it was overall a magical experience.

I will forever cherish Fanny, Alex and everyone else on this farm, including the animals, as I really felt like being welcomed into a family. Thank you all for sharing this place with us, taking care, preparing and giving us the most delicious and nutritious meals every single day and the most precious moments to share and take home with us. I had a truly amazing experience at the farm! The whole team is incredibly welcoming, friendly, and truly cared about our needs and making sure we had a positive experience. The views and meals were incredible as well. The schedule is really flexible, we learned a lot, and had plenty of time to ourselves. We also took day trips and at the end of our stay Fanny and Alex showed us around other areas of Costa Rica. I would highly recommend this experience! Thank you Fanny, Alex, Jose, Kim, and Alberto!!

This Worlpacking experience was AMAZING. We stayed for a bit less than two weeks and it wasn't enough. Lots of things to discover with an incredible team. It was the best first worldpacking experience I could have had. I felt safe, welcome, part of the team. Our Spanish as well as our permaculture skills improved significantly. Fanny, Jose, Kem, Alberto, Alex, thank you so much for that experience that I will never forget. Que chiva :)

I had a beautiful time here. Thank you so much the farm! Fanny and her partner usually work in San Jose, José led us on the weekdays. José was a great teacher, and patient with our mistakes. For my first time volunteering out of the country on a farm, I couldn't have asked for a better place to start. The farm itself is rustic and serene, a beautiful place with mountain views. I brought a lot to do on my own, and with solar power from 7 to 2 I think, it was like a built in digital detox. I enjoyed reading my digital books, journaling, knitting, and playing games!

La granja es un espacio de respeto y amistad donde aprendes sobre las bondades de la tierra y la sustentabilidad. Si buscas desconectarte del bullicio diario, dar un respiro y reflexionar entre montañas y ríos, este es tu espacio. Te acompañarán en tu estancia ocho simpáticos perros, gallinas y un cochino. Gracias Fanny, Alex y sobre todo a José por su guía y acompañamiento.

Wowwwww Gracias a Fanny y a todo su equipo, si buscas una experiencia con naturaleza, con animales y experiencia en permacultura este es tu sitio. Me sentí como en casa y me enamoré de 10 perros un cerdo y un ternero😅 Fanny se preocupó por todo y nos organizó tours en nuestro tiempo libre. Un 10 sobre 10! Con ganas de volver con la familia la granja! Eternamente agradecida 🫶🏼

My experience at the farm was great! Super relaxing location to get in touch with the Costa Rican culture. The jungle nature around the finca was also incredible! I saw parrots, toucans, monkeys, and many other species. Unfortunately there were no other volunteers during my time at the finca, but regardless of this I still had a good time with the crew. This provided a good opportunity to practice Spanish too. Yuly (the host) provided great Spanish lessons (which turned into a history lesson but still very interesting nonetheless)!
