I had a great time in the Tatras. The work is easy, you can pretty much organize it how you like and you have a lot of time to do what you want. Štrba is very central and there are many amazing places I could explore across Slovakia. Special mention to Lisa, the manager, a great person who truly deserves a raise.

Had an amazing time here! The people that I met while on this trip I'll never forget. Lisa the manager is so sweet and very easy to work with. Very flexible if you want to go for a hike. We always did some activity every night with the whole volunteer group, and of course guests often joined us. The best way to describe my time here is a home away from home. Loved it and would totally recommend. Bonus the hostel is super nice, very modern and crazy comfy beds. Also the work is pretty easy just cleaning around the place.

My time at Hiker's and Sherpa's was so much fun! The work is easy and there is so much time to hike and explore the hostel, and the nature is beautiful. Lisa, the manager, and the other volunteers were all so lovely and really made the experience!

I had such an amazing time at the hostel!! Such a great first Worldpackers experience that has definitely inspired me to do more! Lisa was so welcoming and helpful and everyone I met and worked with was so fun to be around! I was so sad to leave but would highly recommend to anyone thinking of applying!

Working at the Hiker's the hostel was an amazing experience- the facilities were great, the work was fulfilling and I felt motivated to helpful and hospitable because of the environment the hostel creates. The nature surrounding the hostel is breathtaking and between working hours and days off there's plenty of opportunity to explore the mountains and area, as well as taking a bus or train to a nearby city(I had time to both hike Rsys and also visit Budapest on my days off). Overall it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it.

I really recommend!! The place is nice and cozy, the work is easy and you still have a lot of time for hikes afterwards, very close to the train station. I had a great time thanks!!

My stay at the hostel was a very fun experience. I had the opportunity to meet many people and do many routes in the hostel Tatras. Thanks to the other volunteers and Lisa, everything was much easier and they made me feel at home :)

This was my first worldpackers experience and it was so much fun. I loved all the people I met and I truly recommend this experience to anyone looking to reconnect with nature, meet new people, and overall just have a great time working at a nice hostel. I hope to be able to return one day!

Volunteering at Hikers Paradise and the hostel exceeded my expectations in every way. The tasks were simple — changing bed sheets, reception, cleaning— but the overall experience was so much more than that. I had a great time, met many fascinating people, and truly enjoyed every moment. What I loved most was the location — you can go hiking in the mountains almost every day! 🗻 Big thanks to Lisa for being incredibly helpful, patiently answering all the questions, giving great hiking recommendations, organizing fun activities for the volunteers and making the place feel like home ❤️

I had a amazing time at Sherpas/hikers hostel. The people I met here I grew to love and the experience surpassed my expectations, by the end of my two weeks I was sad to leave. The jobs are not difficult and leave you plenty of time to go hiking. Lisa was great at writing me little notes every day with what tasks I had. Would definitely recommend if you love hiking !
