My experience was not adequate.From the moment I arrived, I was not shown how the place worked:team introduction, internal schedules, or daily dynamics. When I asked for basic information (schedules and days off), the answers were without willingness. The bed base had mold, making it unhealthy to sleep there.The wifi was unstable, the work depends 100% on it. For these reasons, I decided to leave earlier.For me, volunteering means giving and receiving with empathy. Ubuntu:“I am because we are.”When that “we” is missing, the exchange breaks. I hope this feedback helps strengthen that connection

The hotel and place had charm and the staff was lovely however the experience could have been much better if the host had communicated more and was more engaging. Didn't receive much communication from the host which left me very uncertain and one time no response. I had a issue with the room I was in too which was not resolved so I left early as I was uncomfortable as it made it very hard to sleep

It was good! I got a private room. The work was easy, the staff were nice! A very quiet place away from parties and bars, super good to relax. (You won't have a hot shower, but you won't need it either, because it's very hot there haha)

I spent 1 month in the hotel volunteering five hours a day for 5 days/week at the restaurant. In exchange, I got a private room and two meals. The work is pretty easy (it was not often busy during my shift -2 to 8pm-). My coworkers were local from Thailand or Myanmar and all very sweet and friendly. In my free time I could go explore the hotel and hang out with the other volunteers. It's a good place to relax and rest after a lot of traveling.

I did a two week volunteering in the hotel in the laundry room. The hotel is really nice and well situated near the beach so that is amazing. The work itself is not very fascinating but the staff is really nice and friendly. Once I finished what I had to do I was able to explore the island and get to know the other volunteers. If you're looking for some nice time to chill it is nice.

The hotel was a beautiful place to volunteer, with super accommodating hosts and coworkers. I think a bit more care could be put into the volunteer experience, furnishing the accommodation a bit more and making an effort to connect the volunteers to each other so we have people to share the experience with. My host was very kind and went out of their way to fix any problems, but I do think there is room for improvement. I also think there are some volunteer positions that should be filled by paid local staff, not backpackers.

Thanks to the team- Jan, Pi Fa, Prashan and to my fellow volunteers for making the experience incredible! Had a great time singing for the hotel- everything was as agreed and the stay is comfortable.

Great experience and lovely staff who really put in the effort to improve their English for their jobs. Beautiful setting and located in a convenient part of the island. I enjoyed my time here. Thank you.

It was a good experience, very flexible hours and work. You have a lot of freedom with what content to create. It could have been nice with some feedback from the manager to know if the content posted was appreciated and also to know if there was something they wanted improved or changed! But all in all still a good experience.

This was my first experience with Worldpacker and I could have not asked for a better one! Jan and her team welcomed me so warmly and made me feel part of their communities since day 1. I was able to take over the social media channels and give it my own twist. On top of it, I could help also with some English practice and cleaning up the beach which I loved doing. I learnt so much about Thai traditions, culture and language. I can't recommend this experience more!
