This experience was something that I will hold very close to my heart. I really enjoyed every aspect of staying on the farm in Margno, Italy. I immediately felt so welcomed when I got to Bagnala and I met so many amazing people. Everyone was so eager to communicate with me even if there was a language barrier. The work was good and the food was AMAZING. I have so much gratitude for Tomasso and his family. Thank you!

My time at Bagnala was amazing! 20/10! . I got what I expected from the experience and so much more. I got to take a break from the city and spend my time in nature, eat delicious food and meet great people. Tommy and Cori are great hosts, they really make you feel welcomed and part of their family. I was also able to practice and improve my Italian. I definitely recommend this experience and will be back to Bagnala again. (Special shout out to my new volunteering friends ❤️)

Corinne, Tommaso, Gelsomina and Achile welcomed me into their home, their garden and their community and I am so glad. I loved working in their self-sustaining permaculture farm with the alps standing grandly around us. Their cooking was wonderful, and it was so satisfying to eat what you harvested out of the ground that day. And I learnt so many new Italian words! There was a good balance of work and time spent with the family in their lively community, to experience the surrounding the small mountain villages. In time off, hikes and a day trip to Lake Como were great too! Thanks Bagnala!

I left the next morning. I accepted the offer in a naive way. There is no WiFi, neither a normal shower, just one at the heights of the mountains with no proper walls, so you can be seen. And they wanted to make me sleep in a mixed room without advertising it or presenting another suitable option. I never slept in mixed rooms. I couldn't sleep the only night I stayed. So, I kept myself awake and the only man in the mixed room was all the time making noise waiting for me to go to sleep to the room. In England, the code for volunteers demands girls to sleep in room for only girls.

1Why did you come to the Alps with inadequate equipment (white fashion dress code)and with no desire to test yourself? if you had read the information we sent you( shared dorm, no Wi-Fi, outside compost toilet) , it would have been better for everyone.

2 . If you are totally addicted to technology and to modern confort, totally incapable of living in nature and you are not suited to community life and you don’t want to improve about that new experience
Please don’t come here!

I have struggled to write this review because there is so much I wish to say. Tommaso and Cori are wonderful hosts who truly embody the spirit of this program. Your work will be hard, but for 5 hours a day, it flies by. If you are a hardworking, resilient person who likes being immersed in nature and local culture, you will thrive in Bagnala. They truly integrated us into their family and community, and I feel blessed to have worked with them. They worked alongside us and treated us with the utmost respect. It was an honor to work with them. I cannot recommend this experience enough! <3

I spent 3 weeks working at Bagnala and it was one of the most memorable and rewarding experiences. The work day is leisurely, with various types of tasks, but none that were unreasonably difficult. The lifestyle took a bit of adjusting to, and might be difficult for people who are not used to farm life, but the lovely people, fresh food, and stunning views makes it all worthwhile. Tommaso and Cori were extremely kind and helpful. They are part of a beautiful community and I would strongly recommend working here to get to know them better! (Also highly recommend practicing Italian beforehand)

This experience was definitely meant for growing as an individual but as part of the community. I've learned so much stuff that will remain with me and for that I'm so thankful. Cori and Tommaso are both so kind, attentive and supportive. This was my first Worldpackers experience and I loved it. As a solo female traveler I felt safe all the time, got the chance to meet so many people, visits the nearby places and be part of the local life for a little while. The conditions are a bit rough, but with the people you meet there, it's worth it! Thank you so much for this!!
