My experience as a volunteer at the hostel was superb. Maíra (host), Tania (manager), Ju and Lady (volunteers) were welcoming from the 1st day. It felt like home pretty fast. We used to share meals and have interesting conversation all the time. The working hours for cleaners is superb: 1h + 2h/day/6 days a week. They have all the cleaning material needed and have a good schedule organized. To go to the nearby beaches we either had to walk for some 20 minutes, or catch a ride for farther ones. In Serra Grande, the locals are very generous with hitchhikers.
