I worked five days of the week of afternoon or night shifts, and on my days off could explore the canggu area, but not lots to do outside the hostel. you are looking to chill and meet lots of people, this is great for you, as the area is very touristy and mainly just shops, places to eat and go out, and some basic beaches. the environment and other workers were extremely kind and welcoming, a very beautiful hotel with many places to chill and a lot of returning guests. management was a bit confusing at times, with some trouble/confusion in tasks and timing but overall was a relaxing time.

The month at the hostel has been amazing! Truly recommended. Very beautiful hostel in such a good and quiet location! The job was fun, the environment and atmosphere was perfect and all the staff super good! I met so many travellers who became friends and enjoy my time a lot. If you are sociable and you are looking for a place to "settle" for a bit, socialising, arranging events and uploading social media, this is the volunteering for you! Thank you the hostel for everything, it was beyond expectation!

I loved my time at the hostel, it truly felt like a home away from home with a new family! Personally I never felt like I was working while doing my tasks but keep in mind that it actually is at least 30 hours a week; usually you do around 3 hours in the morning and 3 in the evening which leaves you the whole day to do whatever you want to! The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the hostel itself is amazing so I highly recommend this volunteering position as long as you don't mind spending a lot of time at the hostel

Maria has been a fantastic asset to our team, always ready to give a hand even outside of her regular work hours. She has played a key role in fostering a sense of community among us. I highly recommend her without hesitation. She is punctual, optimistic, always positive, flexible and teaches yoga twice a week very well. The hostel is great for guests, but I strongly advise against volunteering there. The manager, who supervises volunteers, is incompetent and rude, creating a tense environment where staff fear her. She provides information too late or inaccurately, refuses to admit mistakes, and pressures volunteers constantly. My fellow volunteer and I left after two weeks, even though we planned to stay five, due to the poor communication and the manager's behavior. We later learned others had quit early for the same reasons. I do not recommend volunteering here.

The hostel is beautiful and offers great opportunities to meet travelers. Staff are amazing and welcoming. However, the management style was overly scrutinizing, creating a high-pressure environment. We understand the importance of maintaining standards but this stifled our ability to contribute effectively. There was also an expectation to project a somewhat inauthentic vibe, which sometimes felt forced. The hostel has so much potential, and with some adjustments in management style and more trust in volunteers, it could be a very enriching and enjoyable experience!
