A experiência

Crescent Moon is a wilderness retreat set on 100 acres by the sea.

This position would suit someone or a couple that would like to experience the beauty of Crescent Head but not pay for accomodation. A working holiday if you will! You will stay in a cute 76' model Viscount caravan with kitchen, wifi, a washing machine and bike in return for ten hours work a week.

We pay $25 an hour beyond that but please don't book with us based on that.

If you are applying for the housekeeping position, we are happy to exchange staying in the caravan - with a kitchen and access to a bathroom - for ten hours work a week. We have three houses on the property, one vintage caravan and camping.

Housekeeping includes cleaning the camping bathroom, helping our primary housekeeper wash and change sheets, cooking perhaps if you are so inspired and general maintenance around the property such as raking, weeding and painting. The ideal candidates already have a passion for hospitality and enjoy learning the ins and outs of running a retreat.

Passion and previous experience is a must.

Atividades & Turnos

Shifts are fluid because guests come and go. This leaves ample time to explore our beautiful region.

A full day for our housekeeper might include cleaning the camping bathroom and raking leaves around the trees or weeding and fertilising the organic vegetable patches. An ability to cook is a plus but not necessary. We offer $25 an hour for extra but please don't book with us based on earning lots of cash. This is a holiday makers position.

A passion for animals is also a big plus. Yuli, our golden kelpie lives on site and on top of your work we are grateful if you take her for a run on the beach a couple of times per week and doggie sit if we need to go out. This is unpaid but a part of living of the shared experience of living on the property. She is a love bug.

Regras

If you are staying in staff accomodation, you are expected to bring your best to work. This is not a volunteer position. Please respect staff and guests by not playing loud music or acting offensively. We reserve the right to ask you to leave at any time.
