I had an amazing time volunteering here! The atmosphere was incredible, and the volunteer team, staff, and host felt like a little family during my stay. Everyone was so welcoming and supportive, making it a truly unforgettable experience. The balance between work and socializing was perfect, and the positive energy of the place made every day enjoyable. I can't recommend this hostel enough to anyone looking for a warm and vibrant environment. Thank you for everything!

Had the best time here. Such a great place to meet new people. A different and fun activity every night which really got the guests together. We had such a fun staff group so working barely felt like working. Loved learning to make all the cocktails, will definitely use these skills back home. I've been gone for a week now and I miss everyone there already. Definitely recommend staying here if you wanna meet people from all over the world.

I had a really lovely stay at the cuckoos the hostel. The work wasn't to hard I loved learning and making the Cocktails. The work atmosphere and the vibe with the guest was just everyday good (even with the bad weather). The best thing was the volunteer house, we felt like a little family and it was nice to have a place for some privacy. Unfortunately I got really sick and I would've liked some more support and understanding from the host. I had a really lovely time but sadly enough it wasn't quite due to the management of the hostel but because of the overall great atmosphere.

I had an amazing time volunteering at the Cuckoos the hostel. Hoi An is a great place and the Cuckoos the hostel felt like home when i was there, it's a great place to meet other travelers and they throw the best events! The work is fun and i loved learning how to make all the cocktails❤️

The hostel is honestly one of the best hostels I've ever been to just to start! In regards to the volunteering the hours are a bit long but it doesn't seem that way because it doesn't feel like work. The environment they've created at the hostel is unlike other volunteering I have done because I truly felt like I was hanging out with my friends while working. Ellen is a great teacher and would take the time to teach the cocktails, give feedback and approach each scenario with kindness. It was one of my best volunteer experiences.

I started volunteering at the hostel after staying as a guest. the hostel is created to be a home away from home and the staff are a big reason the place feels like a home. I absolutely love this place and enjoyed every bit of working here. Like a normal job, the level of responsibilities depends on the person. My background is in event management and hospitality and Ben let me improve and change things within the events and the hostel. So grateful to have had the opportunity to develop myself workwise. Met so many (international) people and got much more comfortable with speaking English.

I had a great time. It was my first time volunteering and I really felt at home. the hostel is an amazing place to meet people, you get very close to the other volunteers, to the staff and to the guests. The job is nice, you learn how to do cocktails, how to handle a the hostel and to do social activities. I would recommend this hostel to who wants to meet and stay always in contact with new people, you need to be very social. Thanks to this experience you can improve your English and meet people from all over the world but also locals like the staff. It's a place where you want to go back

Had a great month volunteering at Cuckoos the hostel. The owner Ben has created a really cool hostel and it's very easy to why it's so popular with backpackers. It's an incredible opportunity that I'd recommend to most people. However, I'd suggest it's suitable for more social/outgoing people as you're expected to be interacting with guests everyday to help improve their experience at the hostel. I'd also say that this role is better suited to people who are relatively independent and don't need constant instruction/ guidance when it comes to the actual work itself.

The Cuckoos the hostel is a lovely social hostel. All the team are amazing and the accommodation provided is excellent. You are provided with a volunteers apartment which is the best I have seen for volunteer work. The work entails quite long hours working at the hostel and being social with guests. All in all super easy work. However I think there could be more incentives like a free evening meal for the amount of hours you do work. Ben the host is accommodating, and good fun to work for. I would recommend to those who are looking for a hostel in a beautiful area but like a night out in the town
