I can definitely recommend staying at the hostel as a volunteer! The work is easy and the working hours are respected. The staff and the other volunteers were very nice and the Hostel is close to the city center of Faro, which is also beautiful.

Tuve una hermosa experiencia de voluntariado en el hostel. El lugar es muy lindo y cómodo, con un ambiente acogedor. Los turnos de trabajo fueron tranquilos y los supervisores muy amables. Un agradecimiento especial a Mafalda por su calidez y apoyo. La ciudad es hermosa y fácil de recorrer, con estación de tren, micro y aeropuerto que permiten para moverse a otros destinos y un ferry que te lleva a una hermosa playa. Sin duda, repetiría esta experiencia y la recomiendo totalmente. Me llevo muchos recuerdos hermosos y los guardo en mi corazón. ¡Gracias por todo! 💛

My time volunteering with the hostel was an amazing experience, and it couldn't have been better for my first time. The hostel is beautiful, cozy, and in a great location—both within the city and with easy access to other cities (the train from Faro connects you to most of Portugal). The tasks were fair, and the free time after work, along with the 3 days off, was perfect for exploring the area. The supervisors were super friendly and always willing to help with any issues. I highly recommend it!

El hostel fue mi primera experiencia como voluntaria y me voy en gratitud con el equipo de trabajo, las personas que conocí y la estadía. Mourão, el "boss" jaja siempre fue muy amable, justo y abierto a escuchar Cainna, nuestro dialogo fue de menos a más, es especial jaja es un buen chico :) Mafalda fue lo mejor de esta experiencia, no solo en el hostel, también pude compartir tiempo con ella fuera.. Hizo de mi llegada un espacio cálido y entretenido <3 Definitivamente, sé que cualquier voluntario/voluntaria que venga será feliz de pasar por el hostel. Gracias por tanto, mucho éxito !

I had a wonderful time at the hostel! This was my first Worldpackers experience and I would definitely recommend it. The tasks are explained well and are very simple, making beds, reception, and making breakfast during morning shift. There is plenty of time to explore Faro and other nearby cities before and after your shifts and on days off. Faro also has cute nightlife and volunteers get a great discount at certain bars and a club!

We had a wonderful time at the hostel. Cat, Cainna and the other volunteers made us feel comfortable from the start and explained everything to us. Working hours were respected and the tasks were easy and not exhausting at all. The hostel is relatively small and felt nice and cozy. So we had lots of time to explore the city and its surroundings. There are also options going out which we enjoyed a lot. We loved the time we spend there and all the people we have met. We will miss this place<3

The stay at the hostel was great. The work was easy and how it is described. The volunteer room is good and you're never alone, if you don't want to be. If you want, you can go out a lot to the bars and art house (club). There you can meet locals and tourists. I would definitely recommend the hostel for your volunteering and would like to go back. Thank you to everyone.

It was a very positive experience. It gave me the opportunity to meet and connect with several people who were working there as well. Communication regarding the tasks could have been clearer at times. The only real downside was the low number of guests at the hostel due to the low season, which resulted in fewer interactions and a quieter atmosphere. Despite this, I would still recommend this experience, especially during a busier period of the year, when the hostel is more active and lively.

I stayed here in November/December, and honestly it's not the best time of year. There were very few guests and not much going on. Same for Faro, even though it's a very pretty town. The tasks were easy but not clearly explained, and it felt like the hostel relies a bit too much on volunteers. Overall, it was a good experience, but I wouldn't recommend coming during this period. In summer though, I think it could be very nice.
