POSITIVO Me lo pasé genial con mi compañeros de piso. El trabajo de recepción en el hostal es divertido y es interesante poder gestionar la faina autónomamente. La estructura es retro pero es un buen lugar para trabajar, ya que nunca estás solo y está todo a tu disposición. Fer y Nacho son alegres, solares y siempre disponibles a escucharte. NEGATIVO Por las horas que se pretenden no es un voluntariado sino una auténtica experiencia laboral, no lo aconsejo a quienes tienen otro trabajo, el nivel de estrés puede ser muy alto. El piso donde nos acogen es indecente, se tendría que reformar de 0.

Working at this hostel was a great experience; the place was simple but cozy, and I couldn't have asked for better housemates, as we got along so well and had a lot of fun. From day one I felt welcomed and supported, with a patient, kind team always ready to help, so I never felt alone. I learned a lot, faced unexpected tasks that broadened my knowledge and skills, and grew more confident in my abilities. I finished this experience with the desire to keep pursuing a career in this field, carrying with me wonderful memories, new friendships, and a genuine passion for hospitality!

100% intercambio laboral. Buena organización. Dan capacitación y las tareas son sencillas de realizar. Hay un calendario mensual que ayuda a organizarte en tiempos y hay flexibilidad. El piso de voluntarios está a 30 min en metro del hostal, ellos apoyan con la tarjeta, pero la hora invertida en ir y regresar no cuenta dentro del horario del voluntariado. El piso no tiene AC por lo que si sufres con el calor, no te recomiendo ir en verano. Lo recomiendo para viajeros con experiencia previa en voluntariados. La socialización será la que tú mismo busques con tus compañeros y los huéspedes.

En general la experiencia fue muy buena, fue mi primer voluntariado en WP, el lugar es muy acogedor, y aprendí más a fondo del funcionamiento de un hostal. Tenía todo lo que necesitaba y no escatimaban para que lo tuviera. El anfitrión es muy atento y buena onda (Fernando), el lugar es céntrico y hay una estación del metro a 300 mts

Working at "the hostel" was a really nice experience. I worked as a receptionist, and when I first started, I felt a bit nervous about my tasks because everything was new to me. However, the staff was always there to help and support me with anything that came up, at any time of the day. They also know how to celebrate your successes when you're doing well. The hostel is a great and safe place to stay and work. The work can be both very intense and calm, but it's always enjoyable. I received a warm welcome and truly felt at home (casa). See you soon!

Realmente me sentí como en mi hogar. Con ambiente agradable de trabajo, sin distinción de tareas y colaboración.Con protocolo y orden de tareas, con observación permanente y preocupados si hacía o no un alto , con ofrecimiento de un vaso de agua o una infusión o sólo un breve descanso. Con charlas y entorno agradable, parecía como que el tiempo corría más rápido. Con el deseo de volver y que la experiencia pasó demasiado pronto.

One of my best volunteering ever. The schedule and the work itself it's easy, you will have plenty of time to explore Barcelona which it's amazing city. The staff it's really helpful and will help you whenever you need at work, and I got the chance to improve my Spanish. They also let me extended the volunteer, which helped me a lot. Thanks Caro and Fernando for everything and the others volunteers and staffs for making my stay even more meaningful.

I had an amazing 3 months working the night shift at the hostel and exploring Barcelona! I met incredible people, made new friends and improved my Spanish. The tasks were clearly explained and everyone was kind and supportive, even when I made mistakes. In exchange for 4 days of work per week, I shared a flat with 5 other people who also worked at the hostel. We had a great time together and everything was conveniently located-right in the city center. A big thank you to Fernando, Caro and Anja for making me feel so welcomed and helping me along the way. It was an unforgettable experience!❤️

I'm really thankful for my time here🫶 I did housekeeping and the hours were as agreed, usually 4h/day four times a week so that leaves you with a lot of time to explore Barcelona and close by towns. The house is 15 minutes away from the hostel. It's rather small but still has all you need in a comfortable location 5 min away from the metro and 1 min away from Mercadona. Everyone was super nice and lovely but due to very different work schedules I feel like it was not as social as I expected. They were all super understanding and helpful when I had to quit a little early due to an injury💕

It's the prefect place if you want to be sorrounded by an international environment and get to know the city. The staff it's very kind and the people in the apartment are always respectful. You will feel comfortable since the begging :) and you are the middle of the city which is amazing !
