Foi um mês muito maravilhoso! Eu amei conhecer os donos, todos os viajantes que chegavam no hostel e, principalmente, os outros voluntários que eu me conectei e viramos super amigos. Jamais vou esquecer essa experiência. Muito obrigada por todos os momentos, por me ensinarem italiano, pelas noites no Asinello, pelas rodas de violão com o nosso músico favorito Feder, pelos vinhos... por tudo! Foi muito especial! I loved volunteering at the hostel! The hostel has such a homey vibe and all the people that are there - whether they work there, are also volunteers, or are fellow travelers just staying the night, we're all such warm and welcoming people! The work schedule is also really flexible so I felt like I had plenty of time to explore Genova and other cities too :)

I spent a few amazing weeks here. It was a truly enriching experience, both personally and culturally. Regarding the work, the tasks are exactly as described in the profile, and the agreed hours are respected. It was my first time working in a hostel, so at the beginning it was a bit challenging to adapt. In my case, I felt that a little more training at the start would have been helpful. Overall, the hosts are very kind, they explain everything with patience and are always willing to answer your questions. Living together with the other volunteers was also very rewarding, very nice people.

My time at the hostel Génova was truly wonderful. Although the cleaning shifts do require a little bit of effort, compared to other hostel volunteer experiences, you do get used to it and most of the times there's an overlap with the afternoon shift, so you're not doing it alone. You're also not assigned to this shift every day, so you only do it once or twice a week. I personally took this shift as a good moment to just be in my head and move my body :) The owners of the hostel and friendly and always supportive and communicate with respect all the time.

I absolutely looooved my time at the hostel! Both the managers and the volunteers working there were wonderful. The tasks were easy and they will explain everything to you. I also really appreciated the flexibility of the schedule. I could not recommend it enough <3

I actually worked at Victoria hose which is the sister hostel that is owned by the same people. I had a lovely experience volunteering the other volunteers are lovely. The owner and staff are welcoming and very helpful. The hours where very flexible amongst volunteers you worked four shifts a week two of which can be in the same day and then you can have the rest of your time off that week. Victoria house has a very homey feel. Genova is such a beautiful city that is super walkable.

My experience at the hostel was unbeatable. It was my first time volunteering. I had no previous experience in hostels, but with the patience and all the training the hostel team offered me, I was able to work comfortably and feel safe. Matteo is a very friendly person and makes things very easy. I recommend him 100%.

Had an amazing time volunteering at the hostel! The work was exactly as described, and the staff were incredibly friendly and supportive. I will truly miss all the management who treated me like family, the Italian way. The hostel has a great atmosphere and I met so many interesting people from all over the world. The hostel was a perfect place, this was my first volunteering experience and I loved it so much that I didn't want to leave. All the managers are lovely people who are willing to help you with everything you need and keep you informed about everything. The experience with the other volunteers was great, the vibe at the hostel feels like being at home, always meeting and socializing with new people.
