Isabel and Sheridan landed into the volunteer house with so much ease, always friendly and happy to help out with all the tasks. They took great care of the garden, easy to talk to. Sheridan also has experience with animals and her cat expertise has been appreciated! They are both just really sweet to have around. Wish them well on their next adventures

I had almost no idea of gardening before I came to the Center – which was no problem, because the inhabitants of the community showed my all I had to know. I had a very warm welcoming by the other volunteers and community inhabitants. Lovely people I had a bunch of interesting conversations with. It was my first time living in a spiritual community with all the yoga and some rituals. Very inspiring! Single thing to criticize are the prices for laundry and pick up – not what I expected for volunteering. Nevertheless: Stjärnsund is a incredibly lively village surrounded by beautiful nature!

Göran arrived open-minded and ready to learn all about gardening. He spent so much time in the garden with his hands in the earth, even on weekends and days off- he really got into it and developed his green skills. We were inspired by his initiative to get out and explore, take long hikes even making it all around the lake nearby. He always took time to appreciate and enjoy the nature opportunities around him. Thank you for all your help.

Here's some background: Annoyed American who began to dislike his job wanted to travel. Friend who uses Worldpackers refers me, and I find out about the Center. Never would I have imagined I'd make friends from 4 of the 7 continents and 8 countries, get very good at video editing, experience the Swedish countryside, and overall feel myself come out of my shell I had created for the last few years. You're helping a great cause and great people, who also want the absolute best for all their volunteers. Once in a lifetime opportunity that truly made me a more patient and understanding person.

Noah travelled all the way from the USA to be with us for 3 weeks. We were so happy to share another kind of lifestyle with him where he could slow down and enjoy the small things. He was dedicated and friendly with everyone. Spoiled the other volunteers with a proper american thanksgiving feast! Thank you Noah, enjoy your next adventures

My experience at the Center was incredible. It is such a welcoming and heartwarming place. I got to meet so many amazing people, my fellow volunteers and roommates who have become like family to me as well as the wonderful community members around us who have been unbelievably kind and supportive. I am beyond grateful for the memories I made and most importantly for the people I had the privilege to get to know and that I got to experience all the little adventures with. I couldn't ask for a better volunteering experience. I miss you all and I will definitely be back!! <3

Luzie found her way right into the volunteering family. She was known for her daily question "How was your day" opening space for everyone to connect. She made deep friendships during her visit with her open heart and willingness to get to know everyone. She was a big help in the garden and enthusiastic about cooking for our monday meetings. The Center wasn't just a volunteering experience. In this little swedish village I found people for life, people to cry, laugh and argue with. People who will be forever in my heart. This place is so so much more than this World packer entry could ever put into words. I am already looking forward to come back to everyone and feel all the warmth again.

We almost missed Charlie and are very happy she changed her plans a second time to spend her time with us. She jumped into a crazy group of volunteers with a positive attitude and quickly found herself at home with the group. She came with many different skills and hopped into building and fixing. She was a big help in cleaning and organizing some chaotic spaces we are very grateful for! Charlie was well loved by the children of the village and we are looking forward to welcoming her back! In just a few weeks, the people around me became a family. Everything you give to improve this place will be reflected back on you with a lot of love. So much that you'll remember it for the rest of your life. I leave with a heavy heart but with happiness. So many names that I would like to thank but I don't have enough space. They will recognise themselves :) Thank you so much, from the depths of my being. You can be sure, I will come back !

Guillem and Marius are a dream team full of love and friendship that they warmed the volunteer apartment with everyday (so I heard!). Its easy to enjoy their company. So much appreciation for the time and care Guillem gave to everything he helped us with. On so many occasions he would stop to help even when his volunteer hours were up and even say he was just enjoying it. Lots of heart and spirit. We will miss them both very much. Thank you!

I had a great time at the Center. I met some wonderful people and everyone has been so kind to me, contributing to an experience I will never forget. The schedule is very flexible and everyone is open minded about différents ideas, which is very pleasant. I strongly recommend this place !

Marius joined us with his friend Guillem...they were just fantastic and are in fact still here because they decided to stay longer. They are real professionals when it comes to their art: film making. They bring so much creativity, humor and playfulness to the group and at the same time are deeply honest and share from their hearts. Marius, as another volunteer pointed out, is very intelligent. Kind souls. Highly recommend.

Had the best time of my life in Stjärnsund. I met some amazing people that will always be in my heart. I had the chance to reconnect with nature and myself, taking walks to lake and exploring. We had a pizza night, campfires, slept in the forest, watched the stars on the pier. The work hours are really flexible and you can manage yourself. I helped with the marketing, but also helped with some physical work as harvesting potatoes and beets, taping windows, raking the leaves and shoveling. Every monday there is a community meeting where everyone shares their thoughts and it's heartwarming 🫶🏻

Nicole arrived full of energy and really stepped into her role and took leadership. Nicole connected and felt right at home. She appreciated the nature, the people and all this village has to offer. She was able to cooperate with everyone and be a part of creating a positive environment. We are looking forward to Nicole coming back in November to continue her work :) Her enthusiasm and humor are always appreciated.

I really want to thank you for having me. the Center is just such a special place, truly like you can't find anywhere else. Everyone was welcoming and kind. Also, it was really nice to see how well everyone living there took care of each other. The work was really diversified and could be individual to your strengths. During my stay, it was mostly repairing windows and work outside in the garden. I especially loved, how surrounded by nature Stjärnsund is. You should definitely go for a swim in the lake or a walk through the forest. I can surely recommend traveling there :)

Hi everyone, I spent two weeks in Fredhem, it was the best ever. I felt like home and the hospitality of the people is wonderful, Kels and the community have opened the door to me making me feel in the right place, I was looking for a place with my own values and Fredhem has them all. I met fantastic people with here I share my short stay, with whom I worked and practiced many wonderful activities, known their culture and language, I really enjoyed the unspoilt nature of Sweden and met other volunteers from different places, it was an experience to do again.. Thank you very much for having me

Irene was a huge impact with her high energy personality and gave us so much with her dance lessons and appreciation for the peaceful life here and warm welcome. We are very grateful she had so much energy to share her dance teaching in so many different styles and only wish her visit could have been longer.
