Yoga Volunteer Guidelines & Rules

To keep harmony and professionalism during the surf retreat, please follow these simple rules and reminders:

During Yoga Sessions

Always arrive 10–15 minutes early to prepare the space and welcome the students.

Maintain a calm, positive, and respectful tone during all sessions.

Make sure the sequence fits the energy and level of the group — prioritize safety and comfort.

Use gentle guidance and mindful touch (only with permission).

Respect the surf schedule — yoga time may adjust based on surf conditions or weather.

During Group Activities

You are welcome to join tours, surf sessions, and night activities during your free time.

Always show respect and kindness to guests, staff, and local community members.

Avoid excessive drinking or loud behavior, especially during guest hours.

Participate in activities as part of the team, not as a guest — help build a warm and inclusive vibe.

Respect privacy and boundaries of all guests and instructors.

Help encourage a positive, sisterhood energy — support, listen, and uplift others.

General Conduct

Keep personal belongings and shared areas tidy.

Inform Kissy or the retreat coordinator if you’ll be late or unable to teach a session.

Avoid romantic or intimate relationships with students during the retreat.

Represent the retreat’s values of mindfulness, respect, and community spirit at all times.

Be open to feedback and flexible with scheduling — island life flows with nature!
