My time at the guest house was fantastic! Eli is a very caring and friendly host and, together with the other volunteers, created a cool and friendly atmosphere. The hostel is small and very cozy, which makes it easy to get in touch with guests and make new friends. The work is simple and not too demanding, so you have enough time to explore the beautiful area around Peniche or go surfing.

Volunteering at the guest house was truly one of the best experiences of my life! From the moment I arrived, I felt completely welcomed and at home. The environment here is so positive, safe, and inspiring—you can really feel the good energy everywhere. The location couldn't be more perfect—just short walk away from the beach, with sunsets that never get old. Every day felt like the perfect balance of meaningful work, fun, and relaxation. The lovely hosts and team of volunteers became family; we shared so many laughs, meals, and memories together that I'll cherish forever!

The first volunteer place where I worked, and I'm afraid they've set the bar very high. The owner is very kind and helpful, the hostel has a cozy and family-like atmosphere, and the work is not demanding —there's plenty of time for everything you plan to do. the guest house Surfhouse is a wonderful place for everyone, I can only recommend it.

Mi primer experiencia haciendo un voluntariado y la verdad es que fué perfecta! En cuanto a las horas de trabajo y días libres se respetó absolutamebte todo, incluso con flexibilidad de cambiar horarios cuando se necesite. Eli y Dani que son las encargadas son unas genias, super buena onda, supertubos queda a 10minutos caminando, te dan bikes para ir a donde quieras, hasta una de ellas tiene rack para tu tabla de surf! Y lo mejor de todo a mi parecer es la gente que conoces aquí, sobre todo los otros voluntarios ya que se forma como una segunda familia. Gracias la casa :)

Definitely my best volunteer experience so far! The Hostel itself is beautiful and the shifts and work are more than fair. The owner eli was always there to help out with anything and super reliable. I had the most beautiful people as my coworkers which helped create a safe and social environment! If you have doubts that the hostel is not very central don't worry, you won't even notice it! You've got the beach super close and the bikes work good enough to get you anywhere else if nobody has the time to drive there. 10/10 would recommend and hope to come back next year again!

Pinapple is a home away from home. The staff create a welcoming and caring environment making it difficult to leave. Managers Eli and Dani are super friendly and always happy to answer questions and lend a hand. I will always remember the guest house crew and all the great memories I've made.

It was my first volunteering experience but for sure it has broken all my expectations, The host is amazing and takes care of all volunteers and i coudnt had better companions in the hostel, the work is well organized and its pretty chill. The atmosphere is great, full of life, music, young people which are surfing or backpacking, i got to meet some many amazing travelers. I learnt so much in this stay in Peniche, altough it is quite far from the city centre you adapt to use the bikes everyday. Thanks for this experience i will come back for sure!!!

Volunteering at the guest house was an amazing experience! Great people, positive vibes, and a perfect balance between work and free time. Eli and Henrique are the best hosts, super kind, fun and always supportive. I learned a lot and felt truly welcomed from day one. Totally recommended for anyone looking for a fun and meaningful adventure near the beach!

Staying at the guest house hostel was an absolute blast, Henrique is a legend when it comes to being a leader of the volunteers and flexibility when your just screaming for a surf ha ha ha Being able to completely relax and wind down from the busy life we all have, nothing says relaxing right near the beach with a groovy location like the guest house Couldn't of had a better month in peniche with a bunch great people

Fue una experiencia super buena, me recibieron muy bien, me enseñaron a hacer mis tareas y luego ya era parte de la pequeña familia. Mi estadía fue tan gratificante que la alargue. Siempre existió buena disposición si necesitaba algo y a la integración con los otros voluntarios y los huéspedes. Peniche es un lugar pequeñito, pero tiene lindos lugares para recorrer y también puedes hacer escapadas diarias como a Lisboa, Cascáis, Nazaré, Ovidos entre otros.. Lo recomiendo mucho :)
