We stayed at Casa Nosa for about a month, It was our first time volunteering in Japan and it was the best thing ever. The team was very nice and generous , the job was easy and fun. The hostel is amazing it was really clean and welcoming. We met a lot of people from all around the world and it felt like home. Nagasaki is such an interesting city to discover and you have plenty of time to do it since you finish early. We can't wait to go back there and we can't recommend it enough.

Thank you for the days you spent with us in Nagasaki.
Fred, you helped us with so many things—from daily cleaning to communicating with our guests.
Thank you also for your advice. It's true that there were days when balancing the workload wasn’t easy
, but you always took the initiative to find things to do, and that was such a big help. Thank you so much!

Had an amazing time in Nagasaki! This was my first 5 star experience of working here in Japan. The city has a lot to offer and there's a lot of beautiful nature to explore. The hostel (the guest house) is located in a nice location and it's very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was wonderful! Very friendly and patient while I was trying to practice my Japanese. They also really respect the hours. I was definitely a helper instead of having to run the hostel which was nice. The work it self is also very straightforward with all the tools needed available.

The guest house was my first volunteering experience in Japan and I would highly recommend it to everyone!! The work itself is so chill, and the hours are respected to the dot. We were helpers to the staff - all were super helpful with instructions on what to do each day. I did only get 2 full days off in the 3 weeks I worked, so it might be more worthwhile to stay for the 4 weeks and get 4 full days off. The hostel itself was v friendly, w guests from all across the world. Added bonus for free bread and jam, always good for brekkie and snacking time. The city is so so so gorgeous too!

Thank you very much for coming.
We’re truly grateful for all the help you gave us, and we’re very happy if we were able to contribute, even in a small way, to your memories and experiences here in Japan.
We sincerely apologize regarding the days off. Our system is set to provide one day off every seven days, but we failed to account for the fact that you arrived a day earlier than originally scheduled.
You should have been given one more day off, and we deeply regret this oversight.

The work itself is easy and the working hours are also not too much, but it can become a bit monotonous after some time. However, the guest house/Noda-Staff was very friendly and engaging in conversations. The hostel and dorms are very clean and quite new, but if you are sensitive to noise, it can get a little loud in the dorms, since you share them with some people. Overall, I had a great time, met a lot of nice people and the City is also very nice to explore. I would definitely recommend!

As far as the work itself, I occasionally felt like the expectations cast upon me were particularly high, especially as a foreigner in Japan. With that being said, the Casa Noda/the guest house team was always reasonable with me and very fair. I had a fantastic time in Nagasaki at this hostel, the vibes are incredible and I met so many cool people. This was a great opportunity to improve my Japanese and explore a more local area of Japan that most tourists don't ever get to see. Nagasaki is so rich in culture and history, as well as having some of the most beautiful nature in Japan.

I had such an incredibke time at the guest house! Issei-san, Shinji-san, and all the rest of the staff are so kind and welcoming, it makes me feel at home! Most of the staff speak a little bit of english, but if you are a Japanese learner, you will have ample opportunity to practice. Both Casa Noda and the guest house are located in really excellent, central areas (especially the guest house) and both hostels see lots of international tourists as well as domestic ones, so you will get the chance to meet all kinds of new people! I highly recommend staying here :)

I had a great time at the hostel! The working hours were fair and easy to manage, which left plenty of time to explore the area. The tasks were mostly the same each day, which could get a bit monotonous over time, but you always knew what to do. The team was super friendly, and with the daily change of staff and guests, there were always new people to meet. Nagasaki is a beautiful city – rich in history, yet relaxed and vibrant. There's so much to explore, both in the city itself and in the surrounding areas. Overall, a worthwhile experience. ありがとうございます!

I had a wonderful time at the guest house! The owner as well as the staff were very sweet and friendly. The staff is almost completely Japanese (some do speak English), so it was a great opportunity to practice my Japanese. The work is explained well and simple. After finishing work at 13:00 I had lots of time to explore the many interesting sightseeing spots in Nagasaki. The hostel has a great location to walk around or take the tram/bus to other places. The common area is also very nice to talk and get to know the guests. I made great memories and will definitely return to Nagasaki someday!
