The host is the perfect place to have time in nature and a break from city/coastal hostels. Being inland and rural without being too far from society. A great way to learn more about the Australian way of farm living, but still having the luxury of a the host. Being here made me so much more comfortable living amongst bugs and wildlife. The free time in the middle of nowhere gave me a sense of calmness and time to recharge and plan my next steps. It is preferable to have a vehicle though, so you can explore the surrounding little towns and national parks.

We enjoyed meeting the other travellers working at the host. The work tasks are fair. We got offered a paying role soon after arriving. Unfortunately the host is not run very efficiently, it's very disorganized. There were times where we felt disrespected by the owners. It was a good place to disconnect from city life. Would recommend going with a partner as it can get lonely.

It is a shame you have had to publicly voice your concerns on here jeopardizing our business. We both know it wasn't working out for you at the resort since we could not have two chefs in the kitchen 24/7 being you and your friend. We gave you great responsibility for when the manager was on leave which you disregarded and left 3 weeks early. Albeit you were fantastic in the kitchen however, this would not be enough when the roles here were to also do reception and housekeeping. All the best.

I had a lovely time at the host. I met some amazing people and it was a good place to calm down and relax. I wish there would have been a bit more activities to do, but it was still an experience I won't forget!

Overall Mt the host was a great place to stay with the room in return for easy and simple work with no pressure. The place was quiet for my stay so more variation to keep busy and gain experience would be ideal. The feeling was as though I was getting in the way as other tasks were manageable for the permanent team and they handled them OK among themselves (we agreed it wasn't really worthwhile for me to be trained for my stay). My tasks were reasonable and uncomplicated. Met some great people, all were helpful and easy to get along with! :) The owner/host himself I only spoke to 2 or 3 time

We had a really great time at the host. It's a nice place to take a break from a road trip or just discover Australia's countryside. We enjoyed being able to use the tennis court, swimming in the river, going on walks,… Everyone is very nice and you'll be able to meet other travellers who truly make the experience so much better.

The property the host is on is very beautiful and the hours and work were super reasonable. There's quite a bit of down time and not much to do around the area so if you like being alone and in nature this is a great place to volunteer. The workers and other volunteers were awesome and super welcoming. the host is definitely past it's prime though and grocery trips are not always as often as described so keep that in mind.

If you enjoy spending time alone and within the outdoors, this could be a wonderful place to volunteer. The volunteer hours were respected and the work from fair for free accommodation. It is a good environment to disconnect from the outside world and take time to relax in nature. The other Worldpackers and employees here were very kind and welcoming.

I had a good time here! The surrounding nature is my favourite - it's amazing, the mountains are so pretty and loved swimming in the river or walking the roads. It was really helpful to gain experience in housekeeping, the cafe and restaurant for the future and was easy to learn. My room was private which was nice, though quite buggy. Had a lot of free time and since it's hard to leave the host, I enjoyed just chilling out. Thanks for having me!

I had a great time working at the host for 5 weeks! The work is fairly easy and straightforward (mostly housekeeping, laundry, and helping out wherever is needed) and the other workers are very welcoming. the host is located in the mountains and the landscape is beautiful; this is a great place to volunteer if you are hoping to spend time surrounded by nature.
