Roy and Aline where the best hosts, I would definitely recommend to volunteer with them. They are very clear with the tasks, they help you a lot and make the work dynamic and easier. On your free time there's a lot of things to do in Albufeira, also the hostel has a chill vibe to hang out in it too. Aline and Roy usually make things for everyone to feel at home, like cooking for all and organizing fun activities. I'll definitely go back at least to say hello :)

This was one of the most memorable experiences in my life. In the beginning I was afraid to leave my comfort zone, but the people that I met there made every fear go away and in the end I was feeling part of an amazing group. About the work, Roy and Aline will be always there for you, most of the tasks are easy and ok, and the difficult ones you will get help to do it. What makes everything easier. After this experience I feel like I left part of my family in Albufeira. Ahhh there is also Sunny, the most lovely and beachy dog that you will meet. I miss you all and hope to see you soon :D

The hostel is an extremely well located on the beautiful and famous beach of Albufeira...only a few minutes away and you are on the beach...Organised, clean and very well decorated...comfort in the rooms of the volunteers and a lovely dog Sumy complete your experience! Una hermosa experiencia! El hostel está siempre impecable, y la terraza es ideal para disfrutar las comidas y tiempo libre con voluntarios y huéspedes. Hermoso grupo de voluntarios!! Roy y Aline son muy amables y me recibieron súper bien. Son bastantes horas de trabajo por día, pero se compensan bien con los dos días y medio off cada dos días trabajados. Las tareas son simples, solo hay que seguir las indicaciones. A dos cuadras de la playa, ideal para disfrutar Albufeira en tiempo libre 🥰

Despite having many restrictions due to the covid, the experience in general terms was good, especially cause the cultural exchange. I was able to practice my English and my Portuguese, while doing my tasks at the Reception. I try to keep the good things from each place I go, and from here I take the people I met and the friends I made.

My experience was really good! Definitely the most beautiful, clean and cozy hostel I've ever been to. I was lucky to meet a lot of international travelers, practice languages and start a friendship with the others volunteers. However, the job requires a lot of commitment and energy. But after 8 hours of work, you will be rewarded with a beautiful beach just 5 min walking. I would highly recommend the hostel if you have no problem following rules (there are severel to guests and staff). Thank you Roy and Aline for the opportunity

My experience was overall good! :) The facilities of the Hostel are really amazing, it is one of the most beautiful hostel I have ever been for sure and Albufeira is breathtaking. You will have long hours of work but this is compensated by 2 days off per 2 days worked. The hostel is always perfectly clean and it is one of the most important focus in the daily tasks. Many rules are established in that sense, for volunteers and guests. If you are 100% committed to the work, are responsible and feel comfortable with hard work and rules, this is the perfect place! You will never forget Albufeira!

I agree with almost everything you write, except the "hard work" part. During your 8 hour shift you sat at least 5 hours on your private computer or on your phone and were not working for us. I had no problem with it, because this year there is almost nothing to do because we have much less tourists, but if you consider working here "hard work" then you truly never worked hard in your life.

What can I say? I was at the hostel the previous year as a guest and the atmosphere is so good that I went back to work and the result was one of the best summers of my life. The fact that it was after the quarantine only made things more intense: interactions with guests, the family that the staff became and the relationship with the owners. So many wonderful days at the beach, friendships, great memories. Thanks so much Roy, Aline (and Sunny!) for this unique experience. I wish u all the best for this place and I will definitely be back asap! NO PASA NADA! Com amor, Beto

What a pleasure to stay in this lovely hostel. I had to work 2 days, 2 days off...the morning shift is quiet hard. It always depends on the beds you have to change. 😁 The staff have their own garden with swimmingpool. Which gives you a place to recover. Roy is an amazing host. He is generous, easy going and a beautiful soul. Aline, Roys girlfriend cokked every evening a delicious dinner for us. Even for my as a vegetarian! I loved it. Sunny, the hosteldog made my day every morning. Aline & Roy thanks for your trust, your hospitality and of course for the TABIOCA! 😉
