This volunteering has been one of the best experiences in my life, I feel lucky to have shared with such wonderful people in this place. I learned a lot from them local vocabulary, local food and spectacular places. The students are very respectful, friendly, loving, intelligent and with a great attitude to learn. I felt like a Hollywood star haha, they spoiled me a lot, they were very attentive to me and most importantly they made me feel at home like my family. I learned a lot about their culture. I hope to return later because I think it was a very short time. I highly this volunteering .

I loved my stay at RTC! The students were very kind and motivated to learn English 😊 I got invited to so many homes and got the chance to experience the local life. I stayed with Han, his wife, his daughter and the camp boys (4 boys that stayed at Han's place for a while to get additional training in English) and they were all so nice and welcoming. I tried a lot of food and everyone always looked after me 😊 My highlight was participating in the wedding of Han's sister! I got dressed up in traditional Lombok clothes and will never forget this day! Thank you so much for everything!! 😊

Everyone at the Royal Training Centre are ap lovely, welcoming and committed to learn and grow. When I wasn't teaching I was put with the students and other teachers checking out all the local spots and emersing myself in the culture and nature. The whole team made me feel so welcome and they taught me Indonesian words as I taught them English! The food was so good and they easily accommodated for my dietary requirements and I got to try so many new local dishes. The accommodation is basic but there is plenty of space and it's private and feels very safe! I miss it so much already!! ♡

This was such an amazing experience! the school and Han are the greatest hosts and the students and tutors are so sweet and passionate. You really get to experience the local culture and make great friends. I highly recommend this place!

Working under the guidance of Mr. Han & Mr. the school at Royal Training Center (RTC) results in creating countless beautiful memories and forging new friendships! Seriously, my gratitude towards Han, the school and all the students at RTC is immense. This was my first experience with Worldpackers, and it proved to be incredibly rewarding. From the moment I arrived, I was taken under the wings of two men with hearts of gold. RTC greatly benefits the children of Lombok, and I wish them continued succes and happiness.

Mixed experience here! The positives were the beautiful accommodation at the homestay - the family took great care of you and it was an amazing way to meet with locals and visit waterfalls and see the monkey forest! The teaching of the children was very rewarding - the school was helpful if any issues arose. However, the schedule was extremely last minute. You may only find out when you're being picked up the morning of, so it's difficult to plan the rest of your day, and not too much time was given for preparation. However it is manageable. Had an issue with harassment from an older student.

The teaching is flexible but the schedule isn't very clear beforehand. I was put in a homestay and had a really nice time there with the locals. Some of the students are so lovely and really embrace you as there own.

I was one week with Han and the school. The time in Anjani was incredible i learn a lot about the Culture and the Lifestyle. Teaching was a Challenge for me and i learned a lot about it. The People there was so welcoming and caring and i was feeling really good there. Han and the school was always looking for me that everything is Okey. The Simple life there Teach you a lot and was a great experience. All together it was worth it and i would come again. Thank you very Much Han and the school.

I really enjoyed my time staying with the school and Han. They were very attentive and picked me up from the airport and dropped me to my next location after my stay also. They will show you around the local area, waterfalls etc. to experience the local culture. It is a very eye opening experience, you really are impacting peoples lives taking part in this experience. Be mindful the community is heavily muslim, so have this in mind when deciding what clothing to wear and expect to have lots of photos and videos taken of you without consent.The accommodation is local lombok style and quite basic.

I myself always ask for permission before taking any photo or video but if our students or people around do it, as far as I know it because you're special for them.

The experience as a whole was good and I'm very glad I did it. Meeting the local children & being exposed to the way local Lombok people live was eye opening. Han & the school had great hospitality throughout my stay. They organised many tours around East Lombok. What guests must realise is that you are entering a strictly Muslim community. I pretended I was gay for the duration of my stay so the "jokes" of marriage would end. They respected me as a "lesbian" but shared their anti-gay views which was very uncomfortable. Go for the children, they need the experience, just be aware of the culture.
