Os alunos são maravilhosos. Conheci de perto a cultura local e como esse era o meu objetivo principal é também o motivo pelo qual indico a outros voluntariados. Muito feliz de ter estado em Lombok. I loved my stay! I was teaching at RTC and stayed with one of the tutors Ms. Tami i en lille landsby, hvor jeg var sammen med hendes familie. De studerende er utroligt søde og tog mig også hver søndag hen til et ny vandfald. Alle har været utroligt velmenende og taget godt i mod mig. Vil anbefale at bo lokalt, så man får oplevelsen af at bo præcis som de lokale gør, hvilket er en meget lærerig oplevelse.

Thank you so much for making my stay so enjoyable! I stayed with Tami's family and truly experienced local life on Lombok – from delicious home-cooked food to learning about culture and religion. I visited several schools and taught students of all ages. Sometimes I led full lessons, which was challenging but rewarding (Tip: It's helpful to have a topic in mind, like a lesson on giving directions or how to buy something in a store). The students were very welcoming and appreciative. I learned a lot and am deeply grateful to Tami and everyone involved!

I really appreciate that I got this opportunity! The girls that I teached were so kind and cute. I felt welcomed and comfortable the whole duration of stay and teaching. I miss the girls and I hope everyone stays healthy and happy! 🤍

Great experience! The teaching team were so lovely and also showed me around Lombok. The work is fun and it was great to teach English to a variety of students. The accommodation is lovely with your own space and great hosts.

I had an amazing stay and I highly recommend the experience, there's no fixed schedule but you mostly teach mornings and afternoons for a few hours and then explore the area with the tutors. The room is very nice and breakfast is included at the homestay, all other meals are included if you have them at school or with the tutors. I definitely learnt a lot and I'll be back!

Although I was only volunteering for a short time, it was an experience that will stay with me forever. I got to experience so many enriching things, from visiting primary schools, to teaching teenagers, to sharing language with adults. I also got to participate in a traditional wedding, was invited into so many homes for delicious meals, and was shown around by the beautiful tutors at RTC. the school did an amazing job at making sure I was 100% looked after. I stayed in a private homestay which was super comfortable and lovely. I hope to come back one day because it was very special.

This was my first experience volunteering at a learning institution and I couldn't have asked for anything more! Everyone was super kind, caring and helpful and welcomed me with open arms into their island, culture and life. The students are really ambitious and very interested in you, which results in them being eager to learn English in order to get to know you better. We explored the area together with the students which honestly added to the experience a lot! I would come back in a heartbeat :)

The experience I had, was very welcoming. I learned a lot about the local Lombok people and how they live while also helping teach English to them. I definitely would recommend others to do this as it's very eye opening and fun.
