This was my first traveling experience ever and it was great. John and Rosslyn were very kind and warm during my whole stay. The environment is very cozy and quiet. It is a bit cut off from civilization which might be good to know for some in before hand. The working hours were barely reached and the work wasnt very tiresome, although that might be down to my stay taking place during late autumn. All in all I enjoyed my stay a lot, being able to take a brake from my city life and getting recharged for my upcoming studies.

Our experience with John and Ross was amazing. We learned a lot from them, not only about sustainability, gardening, tools and all the things involved in their projects, but also from their life stories. They treated us incredibly well since the first moment we arrived. We definitely recommend this experience!

Nuestra experiencia con John & Ross fue increíble. Se nota que tienen experiencia siendo hosts y lo disfrutan realmente. Siempre hubo un trato amable y todo salió como lo acordado previamente. Las comidas son deliciosas y siempre tienen historias para contar! Vamos a extrañar jugar con Obi y Nookie, sus perros :)

John and Rosslyn were just amazing. I really felt like I was home. It was my first experience as a Worldpacker and I definitely recomend to go there if you are looking for practice the English or have a contact with the nature. They have two amazing, lovely and friend dogs. I could go every morning out with Obi for a very long walk. Also having very nice talks, games and movies in the evening. I could learn a lot with them and wish I could have learned and helped more. They have a very nice plan for the house and would need as much help as you can give. I'm very thankful to them for having me

Fue mi primera experiencia de voluntariado , ellos cumplen con las horas , tu habitación y la comida es muy rica . Ross hornea a diario , con Jhon aprendí el uso de herramientas , para soldar , cortar madera etc . También aprendí a jugar romie y triominos con ellos . Yo tenía mucho que no practicaba mi inglés , si les recomiendo para una mejor experiencia y aprendizaje practicar un poco más el inglés antes de su llegada , para que aprovechen todos los conocimientos

Being hosted by John and Rosslyn means that you need to respect their way of life. If you are not prepared of commiting yourself and change your habits just to fit their house rules, do not even consider to apply. But If you're ready to make the efforts, you will learn a great deal of things, because these two persons do have a lot to share. They respect personal space, are willing to help and of course, to share with you. We watched movies together, played some games, had great talks. This was a really "interesting experience" ahah!

John y Ross tienen mucha experiencia siendo anfitriones y eso se nota. Ellos buscan compartir su tiempo con los voluntarios más que darles tareas a cada rato. Nunca las actividades laborales se pasaron de las horas pactadas. La comida es espectacular, todo es casero. Son muy flexibles y están dispuestos a acercarte hasta la estación de tren/bus siempre que puedan. Hay que saber que la casa está muy lejos de cualquier ciudad y no hay transporte público, no se puede hacer turismo. La experiencia y el objetivo al ir debe ser otro, mejorar el inglés, aprender sobre herramientas y su cultura.

Nos hicieron sentir como en casa, la experiencia fue muy enriquecedora, la comida y la mejor compañía de obi la mascota de ellos. si quieres aprender inglés es muy bueno pues ellos son de Inglaterra y con ellos podrás practicar.
