I had such a wonderful time volunteering here! The host was incredibly kind, welcoming, and made sure I felt comfortable throughout my stay. The work was very easy and flexible—never more than 3 hours a day—which gave me plenty of time to explore the area and enjoy my trip. The atmosphere was relaxed, and I truly appreciated the fair exchange. If you're looking for a low-stress, rewarding volunteering opportunity with great hospitality, this is the perfect place!

I would recommend the hostel to anybody looking to work or stay in Osaka. Hide-san is great host and my time at the hostel was a great experience!

I had a great volunteering at the hostel, the hours were as agreed and sometimes even less, the work is easy and you can choose your days off (most of the time). I was first suspicious because of the other reviews about the owner etc. but I can tell you that Hide-san (the Host) was a welcoming, nice and generous host and he sometimes gifted us some treats or got us some food or fruit. I personally think this volunteering is a great opportunity to explore Osaka and the nearby cities (Kyoto,Kobe, Himeji etc.) and its near to the city centre and to the subway.

I stayed almost 1 month and half at the hostel, the work is quick and easy so you can have a lot of free time each day. The owner is super nice and accomodating, thanks Hide for all these moments shared. The localisation is great, quiet but close to the centers of the interest of the city. The volunteering is ideal for having time for yourself, visiting the city and meet nice peoples with the volunteers or the guests. The beds are confortable and the kitchen is practical. Can't wait to go back in Osaka to come back to this place and see all of these lovely peoples again !

I spent a month at the hostel and it's been and amazing experience! Hide-san is really nice, no idea what the negative reviews are talking about, he even gave us snacks. The job is very easy, normally cleaning for 2h 5 times a week but I was lucky enough to get some reception shifts (7h per shift but you can do your things for most of it) so I had mainly four days off a week (the host chooses who gets to do what); you can choose your days off most of the time. I didn't stay at the hostel but shared a room with a japanese girl 5 min away from the hostel, she's great too Would def recommend

This is an amazing volunteering in Japan, I'm very grateful for that. Thanks to Hidesan for the chance to be part of this experience, he is a great and fun host who shared with us some meals and some experiences traveling in Asia. The work it' easy, working 2 hours per day and you get 2 free days in a week, he teach you how is the cleaning process. I appreciate that you could choose your day off. the hostel it's very close to Namba and Dotonbori, Osaka its a very beautiful city “muy chingona” that has a lot of activities to do, and it's close to other cities. Arigato/ thanks/ Gracias.

Volunteering at the hostel was an amazing experience! Hide-San was a good host, reserved but always very nice. I stayed in a shared apartment three blocks away (though some volunteers stay at the hostel), and my Japanese roommate made the experience even better. The work was very manageable: cleaning 5 days a week from 10am-12.30pm. You can usually choose which days you get free (you get two days off). There's also a chance to do reception instead (3 days cleaning and 1 day reception). Cleaning is pretty simple. The location is perfect for getting around, and Osaka itself is incredible.

I had a great stay at the hostel. The location is perfect with many sights within walking distance. The work was easy and not too much, plus you can almost always choose your days off. Most weeks were either 5 days cleaning (1.5-2 hours/day), or 3 days cleaning and one day reception (15:00-22:00).

The stay was good, and Hide-San is a really nice person! He is super flexible with the days off and the parttime workers are lovely. I enjoyed it a lot but for me a month in a city is just to much.
