Very great!Olov is attentive and helpful,each trip to the market turns into a wonderful walk with a stunning sunset!He tells a lot of interesting things about the places and about Swedish culture.You can take the bike and reach incredible lakes!The house has a lot of junk,but if the volunteers organize themselves and fulfill the cleaning obligation,it becomes a good place to be!Working in the garden is endless work,but he never forces you to do anything,you do as much as your responsibility tells.He cares that you do something you like,so he gives you endless options of work to choose!

Olle is an amazing host! There is a lot of work, but he doesn't make you work more hours than agreed, is very flexible with working times in the garden, lets you take your rest, and will always show how to do the task if you don't know how to do it! Working was very fun, I learned so much about gardening! Many say about the lack of cleanliness of the house, but I belive that before you come you should understand that cleanliness of the house is everyone's responsibility, so if everyone does their small part, the house is kept in good condition :). I totally would totally reccomend coming!

There is an astonishing amount of possibilities for a stay at Olovs farm! You are located close to lakes (iceskating), a skiresort and Söderhamn (free indoor iceskating, paddle and swimming) and the car is at your disposal. There is plenty of space in the farm, so you can make your self comfortable. Be aware, that during the week the volunteers stay in the farm on their own, as Olov works in Uppsala. You are responsable for tidyness. His brother and familiy live next door, running the cow business. You work there in the morning or afternoon or on handyman projects as agreed upon.

I really like my time in the farm where I felt like home. I learned a lot during the shifts with the cows and it was a pleasure to work with everybody at the barn. During the free time, I had a lot of opportunities to do winter activities and spend time with Olov during the weekend was very nice.

Es una experiencia maravillosa donde se demuestra tu responsabilidad, compromiso y voluntad de realizar las actividades. Todos son muy amables y pacientes que si algo no comprendes te lo repiten hasta entenderlo, siempre atentos si surge algúna duda o problema lo cual solucionan lo antes posible. Igualmente la convivencia en la casa es muy buena, una experiencia increíble en invierno!

Fue increíble como primer voluntariado, todos fueron siempre muy cálidos y amables, nos ayudaron en todo momento. Las salidas a esquiar y al bar en fin de semana fueron divertidas. El horario de trabajo siempre fue respetado así como las tareas a realizar, es algo cansado pero me gustó porque en mi caso estoy familiarizada. Sin duda alguna voy a extrañarlos a todos y volvería en otra oportunidad. ☺️💕 Lo único negativo fue que había bastante desorden en la casa y faltaba un poco más de limpieza. :(

I had a great time at Olovs Place! The farm is situated in such a beautiful landscape and there are plenty of places nearby you can visit by car. In winter we had the opportunity to go ice skating almost every day on such beautiful lakes. It's just what you expect swedens nature to be like. If you have a drivers license you can visit all these places by your own with the provided car. Olov and the people working on the farm are very welcoming and will do everything to make your stay great! For me the work with the cows was really fun. In just two weeks I learned a lot and I enjoyed it!

I definitely learned a lot about farm life; taking care of the cows and keeping the farm in general require daily attention, but the experience was still quite rewarding. I appreciate Äke, Maria, Jesper, and Anders for taking the time to explain everything to me everything I need to know to do my work. We have wonderful conversations over coffee in the morning, and the family is very welcoming. Ollev was always watching out for us if we have everything we need and accompanied us to various locations, such as the lake or skiing, so we could enjoy the winter activities. Thanks a lot my friend!

The experience was amazing! Everyone is loving and patient with the volunteers. They have all the structure and clothes for us to go to the farm. mornings go by fast and there's a lot of love! Olov is a great host and company! I highly recommend the experience! :) The point of improvement that I see is to improve the tidiness of the house where the volunteers live.

My experience was great! We had everything we needed in the house, everything as described in the vacancy. The work varies between tasks at home and on the farm with the cows, but everything can be combined and divided. Olle is a special person he took us to many places around and we had a lot of fun together. Åke, Maria and Jasper are very patient in teaching all the work, and made us feel very welcome! Being able to spend Christmas with them at a traditional Swedish dinner was wonderful! Everyone is very sweet, I hope to return one day! I highly recommend it!
