I had a great time at the hostel! Unfortunately I wasn't able to meet Tom, but the manager, Michelle, was so warm and nice! The schedule was really flexible, the job doesn't require too much work, just to be there if some clients arrive to the hostel! I had the chance to do small trips during my stay at the hostel because I asked to do double shifts. About the negative aspects, I will talk about the cleaning. The volunteers' kitchen was always dirty no matter how we cleaned everything, and also full of ants everywhere (in your food too)! Also, we experienced two robbery attempts :(

Lo bueno: El trabajo es de 5 horas y se respetan siempre, lo que es bueno para recorrer Puerto Viejo (que es increíble), la ubicación es increíble, está al frente de la playa y cerca del pueblo. La experiencia fue super buena por los voluntarios con los que compartí. Lo malo: las instalaciones, el lugar es sucio y el casa de los voluntarios más sucia aún. Le falta remodelación tanto al hostal como la habitación de voluntarios. Hay bichos en las camas por lo que te pican toda la noche. Falta preocupación por las condiciones del lugar.

Amé Pueblo Viejo, es pequeño lo recorres a pie y las playas están cerca tambien. Podés rentar una bicicleta o ir mas lejos en bus a dedo. Es un lugar seguro. El hostel tiene una ubicación excelente, cerca de todo y al lado del mar, las tareas son muuy fáciles y tenes mucho tiempo libre para disfrutar. Los turnos los podés coordinar con los otros voluntarios. En el hostel hay muchos bichitos, y aparecen monos y perezosos, amé estar inmersa en la naturaleza!

Great experience! As new volunteers, we were a little bit scared from the reception job, but Tom explained everything and helped whenever it was needed. We saw so many animals at the hostel, sloths, monkeys, even iguana! As a couple, we preferred to stay in a tent it was really nice to enjoy jungle experience. Toms wife was so sweet, really warm person. She suggested places to visit. The best part of this experience is meeting so many different people who stay in the hostel. We get some really good friend. :)

Muy buena mi experiencia en el the hostel, me tocó compañeros divinos, Tom es buena onda,, lugar simple, sin lujos pero, si buscas una vida simple cerca del mar y conectado con la naturaleza, este es el lugar:).

Mi estadía en el hostel fue muy buena, es un lugar tranquilo y muy próximo al mar. La ubicación es excelente, esta en el centro de puerto viejo. Tom es bastante flexible y siempre esta disponible para responder consultas, las tareas de recepción son sencillas . Se respetan los horarios y tareas acordadas. El grupo de voluntarios que se armo fue buenísimo! Gracias el hostel y a Tom por recibirme.

Fue muy linda la experiencia en el hostel. Las tareas de recepción son las básicas y hay otras que son súper sencillas, cualquier duda siempre está Tom bien predipuesto a ayudar. es flexible y muy comunicativo. realmente pasé un tiempo muy relajado en el hostel, rodeada de naturaleza y con el mar de patio. Recomiendo la experiencia.

Fue una experiencia increíble sumergida en la naturaleza y la playa. El grupo de voluntarios han sido extraordinarios. Sin dudas volvería al hostel ✨️
