Harvesting the veggies, planting, weeding out and cleaning the veggies for the market, among many other things, that was a highly rewarding experience I'm so grateful to've lived! I was also lucky to be surrounded by great volunteers and not to mention Metka who is the star of the far, but behind the scenes as she says haha. Great food, laundry service, and weekly supplies were also included. The work is enjoyable and fun, but can get really hard due to the weather sometimes, I recommend be ready for that. I'm beyond grateful with Metka and the farm for this experience, Hvala, se vidimo :)

I spent 4 wonderful weeks on the farm. Sometimes the work can be harder due to the weather. Working hours and activities are respected. Metka is always open to dialogue and listens to your concerns. Also, it is a great opportunity to connect with other volunteers and plan something to do after work. I will miss sharing lunch and pizza days. Thank you for everything.

Beautiful nature, amazing experience and above all one of the nicest people I have ever met. Positive atmosphere from day one. Metka is great. Her energy, her constant smile on her lips was simply amazing. I learned a lot during the time I spent on the farm, I gained a lot of experience. Interviews with Metka were not only entertaining, but also often very educational and pleasant. Lea and I enjoyed exploring the nearby towns, beaches, nature, culture... And I also fell in love with their dogs :) I will remember all of this. Thank you ♥

I had an amazing time in this farm! Metka and her family are great and hardworking people and in my time here I learned all the work that is behind the food we eat. The work is sometimes hard, but it is not impossible, and the hours are respected. Working here has made me appreciate more the food I have in my house, and being in contact with nature helps you escape the world we live in today, and live a bit more slow, and peacefully. If you are looking to learn a bit about farm life, want to meet travellers and have a great time you should try this place! And if you come by car, even better.

Volunteering in this farm has been one of the best experiences of my life. I loved learning new skills and helping around the farm in the mornings while sharing amazing experiences with other international travelers in the evenings. I had a good time exploring the Slovenian culture and nature. I'm really grateful to Metka for the opportunity she gave me, for all the meals and best of all for her positivity and energy. From the very beginning you feel part of a family. Metka will be the adult you will relate to the most, a true force of nature, always with a smile; she will accompany you throughout the journey knowing how to help you and correct you where necessary. The place is magnificent, in the middle of the Slovenian mountains and a few kilometers from Kopper and Trieste. The food is fabulous and super abundant. The perfect place to work while having fun and making new Slovenian and international friends with the volunteers. If you want to get around I recommend going by car.

I loved volunteering in Gradišica. This experience really made me aware of the importance of food and the demanding work done behind the scenes by farmers. The food prepared by Metka at lunch is excellent. The working hours are respected and ideal for someone who wants to learn more about agriculture. There are often other people with you, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.

Metka was a wonderful host and I enjoyed my time there so much. I met so many other amazing volunteers and the work was very clearly outlined and our time was respected. Metka is a great cook and I loved the lunches that we had all together. Metka's family works so incredibly hard everyday and it eye-opening to see. It is beautiful area and so peaceful. The work we did was hard but rewarding! Thank you Metka!!

I would definitely recommend staying at the farm! The working hours are as agreed and everyday you are greeted by a warm lunch made by Metka. She is one of the most warm-hearted and open-minded person I have ever met, I felt like I learned a lot from her! The work is physically hard at first but you'll get used to it quickly. It's an amazing place to enjoy the nature in Slovenia and learn about harvesting, planting and preparing veggies for the local markets.
