I couldn't have had a better first Worldpackers experience than this one! Nikki & Patrick are two of the kindest and most welcoming people I've ever met. They always make sure that you have everything you need and made me feel very safe (especially as a 19-year-old traveling solo for the first time). Work is manageable, tasks aren't complicated and hours are flexible & always respected. During my days off, I had loads of time to go on hikes, explore the area by bus & dip in the river/the hostel. Bonded closely with the other volunteers which made Scotland my second home and I can't wait to return!

I had the best time here! Nikki & Patrick are as good as it gets. I've never met people who care about their staff as much as they do. The work was manageable, clearly communicated, and as promised. Spent most of my free time in nature as there's not much else in the village, but this was a plus! I had a great experience that was made even better by the other volunteers. So much love for the people and my time in Scotland.

I'm leaving the place feeling very grateful for the experience. Patrick and Nikki are amazingly kind people, and as a 19 year old traveling solo for the first time, I've always felt extremely safe and comfortable at the hostel. The place is beautiful and I would recommend it to anyone in need of peace of mind and beautiful surroundings. I can't wait to come back someday

Wonderful experience. Felt welcomed into the hostel right away. Had an amazing time with the other volunteers, bonded quickly and closely! The work schedule is easy to move hours around to explore different parts of Scotland, very flexible! Variety in shifts - you will learn lots about working in hostel; checkins, cleaning, reception, bar, laundry. Well rounded tasks. Had a very positive experience and would recommend!

Volunteering at Lochness the hostel was entering a new family, from daily tea times, group dinners to bed making competitions! Nikki & Patrick provided a fantastic environment and experience!!! Would come back in a heart beat!!! Definitely come to DRUMNADROCHIT if you want an experience of a lifetime!!

My time here in the hostel was absolutely wonderful! Patrick and Nikki are so kind and are very helpful & involved with the hostel. The work is all very manageable and the hours are always respected. The hostel itself is super cozy, and Drum is stunning! There's lots of hiking to do and just being surrounded by nature was such a calming experience. The other volunteers were also amazing and made my time even better. I would definitely recommend this experience! I'm sad to be leaving and will miss it but am excited to come back for a visit.

My partner and I spent 2 months at Lochness the hostel and would recommend it to anyone. The hostel was cozy and comfortable, the team friendly and sociable and the work was enjoyable. We met lots of people coming through the hostel, were able to do lots of great hikes and visit Inverness and Isle of Skye. We were so happy to be a part of the hostel family. Thanks again Nikki and Patrick!!!

This place is a must visit. Nikki and Patrick are amazing people, very friendly and very good at managing the team and hours. You get the chance to meet lots of people and get to know the other volunteers very well. The work is straight forward and very manageable and working the bar is good fun. Lots to do and see around the area. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing time here, Nikki, Patrick, the other volunteers and the traveleres we met made this experience unforgettable for us. We learned a lot about everything and made friends all around the world. I'd recommend this experience 101% to anyone, you won't regret it. The shifts were respected and flexible, the tasks weren't difficult either.

Mi primer experiencia como voluntaria fue en the hostel, aquí además de aprender muchísimo sobre el funcionamiento de un hostel, encontré un nuevo lugar al que llamar hogar. Patrick, Nikki y todos los demás voluntarios hicieron de esta una experiencia increíble. 100% recomendado

Lovely Sofi, I'm afraid because you decided to extend your stay and we never made it official through WP, they're now not letting me leave you a review because they think you departed more than two weeks ago, I'm so sorry!
