I loved the genuine connections I made with students and teachers, who gave a great experience. However, my first day at school was quite chaotic, being told I was to teach an English class all by myself. A lack of clear communication and a tendency to ignore feedback was also prominent. Sadly, we were consistently lied to and even made believe that other fellow volunteers were complaining behind our backs (they were not). There is a long way to go in incorporating volunteers into the school. Overall, I tried to ignore these things and focus on the kids who were amazing and the best part.

The kids are wonderful! I taught the advanced classes with kids aged 11-14, they are eager to learn and fun to spend time with. The classes with the younger grades are entirely different, more than 25 kids and you are expected to manage, discipline and teach them alone. During my time at the school, Ariel was only there about half the time and rarely helped when we had issues (things like wifi, schedules, and general support). No curriculum gives you a lot of freedom but can be difficult if you don't have experience. Overall a great experience but lacking organization, support, and resources.

There where a lot of good things about the experience. Meeting other volunteers and teaching the students were the things that kept me staying at CBC. I didn't enjoy the organisation of the school though. From what I experienced I didn't see that the administration actually cared whether the kids learned anything or not. They left volunteers with no teaching experience or spanish knowledge alone in classes without equipping them with anything helpful, and they weren't very helpful when you had questions. I wish the school all the best in the future!

Doing a month of volunteering at the school Billingual School center was amazing. You really get to experience the local life style and emerge in the Honduran culture. the school is a little town outside of San Pedro Sula. Not a lot of tourism (if any) but that just makes the experience truly unique. The kids and teachers are wonderful. Mr. Ariel always made sure that me and the other volunteers had everything we needed and felt safe. Mr. Ariel speaks great English so if you don't speak Spanish it is not a problem. It will make your stay easier when you know a couple frases, but I didn't

Mr. Ariel is a truly passionate leader who cares about his school deeply. His energy and kindness rubs off on everyone, and by the end of my stay, this school and community became very close to my heart. The work is enjoyable and makes a true social impact — I was very sad to leave and hope to keep helping remotely. Mr. Ariel wants to improve the school to be at its best and openly welcomes suggestions from volunteers, which I appreciated greatly. the school is a lovely little town and there are many activities for volunteers to do on weekends accessible by bus.

I had a great experience. I emailed him with suggestions that I think would help the school. I do think some sort of background test needs to be given to volunteers that choose to work around children. Other than that highly recommended! Be prepared to be put around all types of personalities.

It was really amazing getting to teach english to a beautiful group of kids. They were always very active, passionate and affectionate. This humanitarian job served me as a way to create a better future for the young community in Honduras. I'll miss them all in the future.

I had such an amazing experience teaching at CBC! Mr. Ariel and his family are very kind and they always make sure you have everything you need. Teaching is a lot of work but very manageable if you stay organized. The kids are incredibly sweet and very fun to teach, I will definitely miss them! The other teachers and staff at the school are also great and make you feel very welcome :) I would 100% recommend this position!

This was an unique experience for me. The kids at the school are so kind and loving. Get ready to be hugged 100x a day especially if you're teaching the lower grades. Mr Ariel always makes sure the volunteers have everything they need. They took us on a school trip, a parent invited us for dinner and we were also invited to a birthday party. Working at the school can be challenging. You have a lot of freedom in what you can do with the kid but that means you need to prep for each lesson in advance. You need to be proactive and not wait to be told what to do.

This was an amazing experience. Mr Ariel and his family always made sure you were good, and had everything you needed. I really felted welcomed like i was at home there. Working at the school was a little challenging. The kids are so sweet. But getting their attention and keeping it was a bit hard, when you get the hang of it it's much better. I feel like i made a difference in the kids life
